“Dre day only meant Eazy’s pay day” means that the song “f**k wit dre day”, which was the diss track that snoop and dre made on eazy was still making eazy money cause Eazy was in a deal with death row and that anything they made Eazy would get like 20% of the cut for 6 years, and so dre day payed him. Eazy responded to that diss calling them out for being studio gangsters and not real gangsters cause back in like the early to mid 80s dre was in a group called the world class wrecking crew and on one of the album covers had a picture of Dre In lipstick, and so thats where the lines “….From wearing lipstick, to smoking on chronic at picnics” and “All of a sudden Dr Dre is the G-Thang (which is referring to the song “Nuthin But a G-Thang” which was a massive hit on the chronic album) but on his old album cover he was the She-Thang”

Eazy wasn't in a deal with Death Row. Dre was still under contract with Ruthless Records and Eazy E. So, there was never a deal with Death Row, the deal was with Dre. Thats why it makes Eazy's payday. Anything Dre put out, still paid Eazy. I believe it was higher than 20%

You should definitely check out *No Vaselin* by ice cube. One of the best rap disses in history.. Im not 100% sure why ice cube left NWA but i think it was because he didn't feel like he got a fair share of straight out of Compton when he wrote over half the album. He sued them but it didn't go to court and settled it outside of court. And NWA said something in one interview or in a song that actually made him write the song *no vaselin* idk much about that story... But Im pretty sure thats how it happened but not 100% sure. It might be in the movie but i haven't seen it because alot of people said the movie was shit.. But the song is definitely worth checking out. And if im wrong hopefully people will correct me down under... So if you think this is bad... Lol.. Then your in for something... Lets just say this is in most peoples top 5 /10 disses.. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKe1lGqmrNOnZrc

Great video. Real Muthaphukkin G's is what solidified me as a rap fan back in the day. I was really getting into rap in 1992-1993. I remember when this album just came out. It came out the same week that one of my favorite movies opened in theatres called Judgment Night. They played this song like crazy on the radio. The radio version was called Real Compton City G's. It's funny because the beat for this always reminded me of Paperboy's Ditty song and years later I came to find out that Paperboy's grammy award winning producer also produced this Eazy-E album. I really miss those days. Another great Eazy song that I highly recommend checking out is Any Last Werdz that's on this same album.

Easy E said what he said, people don't understand in this era almost all rap now is studio gangstas, music that hits clubs, vs music for the actual G's. Easy E, Spice 1, Brotha Lynch, Scarface, Geto Boys, Dayton Family, Bone Thugs, Many more. Snoop and Dre and Ice-T had been around it, seen it, mimic'd it and left and went to become studio rappers and left the thug life, that's why Easy-E went hard on em saying "Dre day only makes easy's pay day" because every song they made on death row paid him a cut too. Easy was hard, ruthless, from the hood, about that life, and like he said I have the right to rap about that because he has the stripes and battle scars. Rap isn't what it use to be, now it's just a bunch of club music, there's a few OG's still out there, there's some new artists with some legit dark background but you really have to do your research, tech and the game have been pretty deep into the newer gang lifestyle.
