And if you haven't you should get on that. Everlast was the lead MC with House of Pain in the early 90s. Went through some rough times and came out the other side which is kind of what this song was about.

Everlast started solo and was with Ice T and Rhyme Syndicate and he either had 1 or 2 albums through that then he forms House of Pain and that blew up and they did 3 albums through the 90s. When House of Pain ended he got on this rock rap thing and did another 5(?) albums in this style. IMO his first 3 albums in this style are all pretty good. I didn't like #4 and never got #5. He's a dope MC and he does pretty good with this style too.

Got a story that I remember everytime I here this song...early mid 90s I had natural dreads, car I was driving was a 1970 Ford Galaxie and wouldnt start , it needed a jump cause the battery was going bad....it was beside the store not in front where the gas pumps was. So I went to find somebody to give me a boost, the first guy I was about to ask stopped me before I got out a single word and said "I AINT GOT NO DAM MONEY FOR YOU ..GET YOUR ASS A JOB" ..and walked away, caught me offguard so I just stood there as he got in his vehicle and left!....But that man pulled back up a few minutes later, got out and came up to me and apologized several times and said he noticed me walking back to my car where the hood was up and that he felt bad. Every time I need hope that good people are out there I remember this guy!!! I think of this everytime I hear this song....was before this song came out.
