I honestly wouldn’t have guessed you guys didn’t know arch enemy. Their discography is full of nothing but bangers. The band is legendary, one of the most consistent melo death bands out there. I’m glad you found them but you haven’t heard anywhere near their best yet.

For a great live performance of their former singer and current manager Angela, check out "We Will Rise" MFVF 2010 - best sound for a performance of Angela Gossow I've found. Nemesis live at Wacken 2016 with Alissa White-Gluz is a classic too - Alissa''s growls have gotten more gutteral since then, but I haven't found a recent concert video with really good sound except the Wacken full set from 2018.

Yeah- When i heard Gossow may end her singing Career and Alissa is going to replace her. I thought about whom else could cause i REALY enjoyed The Agonist. And i enjoyed Arch Enemy AS it was. Now for me two Bands are dead or nearly dead. The Agonist.. i dont know what this guys are doin atm and Arch Enemy starts to sound like The Agonist... in some way. But... i thank Gossow for the great Time... sometimes Bands change and you just have to move on and listen to someone else :D

She sounds like me if i have eaten alot of food my body cant handle,and i get thoose acid burps,and try to talk. But with that said (that type of nonstop growl isnt for me),i wouldnt disrespect Alissa in any way. If anything,i would say that Alissa is the queen of "maining growl vocals". Tatiana in Jinjer is talented,Alissa is on another level. But i do wish she was with a band that would let her do her clean vocals more,as she got some really powerful and beautiful clean vocals,that is barely used. If she mixed them up,i think i would listen to her band alot more then i do.

Alissa herself uses the example "if the drummer can do an amazing flamenco beat, doesn't mean he should". Doing growls she's special too, doing cleans not so much. For the clean singing fans she has other projects. In Arch Enemy her screams and growls actually are more melodic than Angela's, Mr Amott himself said it.

AE is not mainstream. It takes a while before one developes a taste for it. Personally if I listen to cleans it doesn't stir me up anymore. I need the strong shit. 😁 Depends on what you're doing. Chilling or exercising. If I exercise to nightwish I'd just have to sit down and fall asleep haha. Lamb of God and Amon Amarth are also high up on the favorite list together with AE.

I like classical music which is not mainstream. Everybody has different tastes and different way of hearing "music". If all of us would like the same things it would be very boring.
