The Amott brothers wrote this first ballad for AE. Mike said it wasn't easy to choose which vocals would go on it. He is happy though that they have the option of cleans which they didn't have before. Personally I don't mind if it's all dm vocals, but I know a lot of people are craving some cleans. 😁 I guess a few songs could have some clean elements, as long as they still make some really heavy shit like in the old days. Like doomsday machine. I wish they could revisit that sound in a song or two. 😁

I got my first arch enemy cd in 2002. Got every one on release day with the exception of khaos legions for absolutely no good reason. And then this last one Will To Power. I just picked it up in the last week or so and I gotta say without a doubt this is my least favorite arch enemy song. It tries so hard to be two things and fails at them both. If she had stuck with cleans and growly soul vocals, I'd probably like it. But the screams are so out of place in this one. Not a fan. And they're one of my favorite bands.

Angela Gossow was much better with the band, and Alissa was much better in the Agonist
