One of my favourite metal bands fronted by my favourite male singer of all time! Bruce Dickinson is not only an amazing singer, he's also written novels and scripts, is a certified airline pilot, and also a skilled fencer who trained with the British Olympic squad. And perhaps most importantly, he seems like a genuinely decent person! Thanks for checking out this iconic band!

Hi Angel. I have been an Iron Maiden Fan since the early 80s. Being remote from their home base (England) I have only had the opportunity to see them live three times (South Africa twice and Singapore) - but believe me they are one band you need to see live in person at least once. Also the trials Bruce Dickinson has gone through and beaten (including throat cancer) and his accomplishments outside the band are extraordinary (airline pilot !!!). Enjoy this powerful and wonderful band.

Hi Angel. You found one of the best metal bands. The live concerts are some of the best you will see. Bruce Dickinson beat cancer and still makes music and sings. The best live performance is anything from Rock in Rio. The next one I suggest is Rime of the Ancient Mariner. It's a 13-minute song.

I saw the lads on this tour back in 1982 at the Reading Rock Festival. My first Maiden gig with Bruce Dickinson at the microphone. Saw Iron Maiden thrice before, twice at the 1980 and 1981 Reading Rock Festival and once in February 1981 as openers for Kiss at Forest National in Brussels, Belgium. I'd seen Dickinson twice before as singer of his first band Samson also at Reading in 1980 and 1981. Bloody 'ell, the memories. Plus, we're getting old. There were only two singers in those days who could pull-off such vocals and that was Bruce Dickinson and Robert Halford of Judas Priest. The latter would sing the varnish off of your nail polish. This show (Live at Hammersmith) has the best of Bruce's live vocals. This band put metal into the mainstream back in the early 80s. So many hits, but here's a few to start with: The Number of the Beast, Fear of the Dark, Wasted Years, Aces High, Rime of the Ancient Mariner, The Trooper, & The Evil That Men Do. Still twice this number left from the early years. Someone else can suggest later hits. I've seen them live 26 times & counting since 1984 into the early 2010s. (Some w/ Queensryche). They put on a great show along w/ heavy metal's most famous mascot Eddie (See album covers for all his incarnations...well, some of them. There's a lot of artwork). Over 130 albums sold. (Not a small band at all). They've had 3 Jets named "Ed Force One" (757 & 747) in the past w/ Bruce as the pilot. (I'm not sure what they do now as Bruce has retired from flying professionally). Bruce was once a world class fencer too. Hope you enjoy these fun facts.

This song is about a man on Death Row about to face the hangman.. One of the most powerful songs ever done by Iron Maiden - the main songwriters are Steve Harris (Bassist) and Bruce Dickinson (Vocalist) but all the others chime in at times. Too many great songs to give you here but my current favourite is "Writing on The Wall released a few years ago.

You'd be even more impressed if you listened to the studio version first (recorded a few months earlier) and then watched this. You'd think you were listening to the same recording. Maiden is one of the very few acts whose live songs are almost always equal to or better than studio, forget the fact that their stage sets are unparalleled.

One of the advantages sweetie of being me 2003 21 years ago I got to see these guys live pine knob also known as DTE energy music Theater north of Detroit close to 70000 people in the area with you know the roof and everybody else on the grounds the energy was so freaking bananas it was like watching somebody play a soccer match while playing music to me they are by far not just me millions of people one of the most talented most versatile heavy metal bands to ever walk this planet then when Adrian Smith took off for a moment that got janik Panda the big hit was written by Bruce Dickinson called bring your daughter to the slaughter and after Adrian Smith came back they still kept janik and became a band with a three leads like wow they're already great and that just made them phenomenal check out songs like aces high 2 minutes to midnight rime of the ancient Mariner powerslave flight of Icarus the number of the beast off the same album you just did the trooper based on The charge of the light brigade I can go on for ever naming the great songs these guys have done since 1981 to the present

I believe this is is “The Beast Over Hammersmith” featuring a few nights at the famous Hammersithodeon on their Beast On The Road World Tour. I’ve grown up with Maiden. Been there since the beginning. This band is nothing short of remarkable. Bruce Dickinson (there lead singer) survived throat cancer (had a golf ball size tumor removed from his throat) and has never sounded better. Their summer (Nicko McBrain) had a stoke that would have killed most men and he is still going strong! I can go on and on but hands down they are the greatest band of all time. Up the IRONS! 🤘

This is Bruce Dickinson at the peak of his vocal stamina. The thing is, whatever he lost due to age, he gained in expressiveness and theatricality. Compare this to the Rock in Rio 2001 or the Flight 666 version and you'll see what I mean. And the band seems to have lost none of their energy on stage.

I had the album in 1982. I was 12 and it was the best thing I owned back then. They were number 1 in the UK album charts which was hilarious when nobody listened to heavy metal hardly at the time.. You should check out Revelations / Piece of mind album 1983..His voice will melt your soul .
