A little about me and this channel:
My name is James Aubrey IV and I just recently graduated college from Iowa State University. After college I decided to take a leap of faith. So I moved to San Diego California to pursue my passion for videography/ KZbin. Overall I'm a pretty chill person, outside of KZbin I like to longboard, dance, play video games, lift weights and hangout with my friends. I know that success on KZbin won't happen overnight but I'm willing to stay patient and put in the work to try to prefect my craft daily. This KZbin channel will be centered around my life after college. You will be able to see all of the ups and downs on my journey to success. So if you like the content make sure you subscribe so you can be apart of the Rome Life Family. (Let's build our own personal Rome's together.)
What is the Rome Life ? And What does it mean to be apart of it?
Rome Life is something I started during my Sophomore year of high school (one of the worst times in my life) it started off as me documenting my journey to recovery from my shoulder surgery but eventually it turned into a platform that I could use to encourage myself as well as others to chase our dreams.
Rome Life isn't just a saying it's a way of life and for the people who want to be apart of it have to realize that. Rome wasn't built in a day it took a lot of handwork time and most importantly patience. So you can't expect your dreams to be any different
This is a reaction video used to educated and give my feedback on the song and artist

Jay Kay (Jamiroquai) was born Jason Luís Cheetham in Stretford , England on December 30, 1969, the son of English cabaret singer Karen Kay and Portuguese guitarist Luís Saraiva. He did not meet his biological father until 2001. Kay's identical twin David, died a few weeks after the two were born. His last name of Kay, is taken from his stepfather Mervyn Kay, who adopted him as a young boy when his mother remarried. He is best known as the co-founder and lead vocalist of the acid jazz and funk band Jamiroquai, which was formed in 1992. Lyrically, the group has addressed social and environmental injustice. He created the name Jamiroquai, as he wanted the public to realize that he was not a solo performer, that he was fronting a band of very talented musicians, so the name Jamiroquai is actually the name of the band, which has had various rotating members since its original inception in 1992. He is definitely one funky white/Latin dude! Here is a link to a brief 5 minute overview of him: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pHu7nKh_fN9gatk And here is a link to a 2 hour documentary: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJjNdmR9e7KhgZY Thanks for your continued positive messages and for exploring all types of musical genres! ☮️ Steve in Kansas

I LOVE JAMIROQUAI ever since receiving his NEW FIRST ALBUM for my birthday back in the early 90's and then seeing him in a small club BEFORE he got famous!!!! EVERY SONG on EVERY ALBUM from his first until his most recent have been stellar. He took the ACID JAZZ genre up a notch and perfected the FUNK DISCO ROCK RETRO ELECTRONICA sound with his perfect voice and wonderfully clever COSMIC lyrical references and metaphors. This piece is a great autobiographical take on the origins of his musical shift in consciousness! GREAT songwriter of slick funk jazz driven influenced rhythms along with beautiful soulful ballads. FYI If you know or learn the history of his influences you'll find much of his inspiration comes from 70's jazzy atmospheric funk bands like Roy Ayers, Herbie Hancock, Lou Donaldson, EWF, Grant Green, Sly Stone, Gil Scott-Heron, of course Stevie Wonder and a slew of lesser known greats from that era...

Their entire album was something else. Where House, rap, rave, alternative, Techno musics were hitting the waves, jamiroquai comes around and bring back that funky 70s style back to the mat, "earth wind and fire" vibes. A breath of fresh air to the sound waves at the time. Mid 90s. He took on some weight though. They slowly disappeared in the 2000s. They're trying to come but yeah... it's very competitive. Fred Astaire did the first moving room dance sequence in a movie called “Royal Wedding.” Then Lionel Richie did “Dancing on the Ceiling” with a moving room. Then we have this video... Artists inspire artists! 😊

There’s a lot of songs I get sick of when I hear them too much but this is not one of them I can’t count how many times I heard this in the late 90s and early 2000s and I never got sick of it💯🔊🎶💙🔥

The treadmill song from OK Go came out almost 10 years after this Jamiroquai Virtual Insanity song. Jamiroquai were the first to do this moving floor type of video.

Compared to your fellow youtubers ,You actually managed to pronounce the band's name correctly :p The reason why that video is so requested is because people have realized that we are currently indeed living in a Virtual Insanity because of covid 19

This brings me back to 6th grade in 97 which was a good year for me, the summer of 97 was one long big party for drinking, smoking and getting freaky because I was only 12 but I was hanging with people in high school because I was advanced for my age

It's nice to see a good artist/band like Jamiroquai getting attention from a new generation who never experienced them. Virtual Insanity is a good tune! The Space Cowboy!!! This video made me happy lol. Volume's a bit low on your commentary though...

It's very surprising he had never heard of Jamiroquai and also he never mention that this video is from 1996 what makes it even more impressive plus JamQ is and epic band .the song reached number 1 in the U.K. And 38 in the Us in the Billboard modern rock tracks.

In case you aren't familiar... Tupac sampled Jamiroquai's Manifest Destiny in his song Who Do You Believe In. Also, back in 97 (or 98) they won a Grammy for Virtual Insanity which was presented to them by LL Cool J, who gave them accolades. Cosmic Girl (from the same album as Virtual Insanity) is on the Love Jones movie soundtrack. I wish they'd tour the US, again, cause that would be one to see. BTW: Check out their song Everyday - talk about smooth R&B

BTW: If you're into deep sublayered lyrical meaning check out Led Zeppelin's All Of My Love. Some say it's about the lost of a child -though I think it was a tribute to the lead singer's lost child the lyrics themselves contain euphemisms about the obsession once was becomes addicted to heroin (arm through the loom), etc. A masterpiece for those who love not only good composing and playing but artful lyric writing.

The camera and walls are fixed to each other and the whole rig moves around inside a big warehouse. I remember JayKay explaining it one time. He's also a big car fan, was on Top Gear a bunch of times in the Clarkson years.

The walls are on wheels with the camera attached on a rig at the front and that’s whats moving around. They shot it in a massive warehouse and just moved the whole rig around the floor to get the effect. You can see there’s quite a big gap at the bottom of the wall and that the walls are slightly shaking when its being moved around.
