You are on point. I am 51, I grew up listening to Michael. Many have the MJ feel, but NO ONE has come close in the way Jungkook has, Bruno Mars did at some point, but not quite. Dont get me wrong, Bruno is very talented.... So this GenX approves.

What’s amazing is that even while paying homage to MJ, he’s very much NOT like MJ, unless you wanna talk stamina, passion, performance. Jungkook is fantastic. I admire that outside of the tracks obviously inspired by certain styles, his own unique style still shines through (especially with his original/group Korean tracks)

Idk a lot of artists but I have never seen anyone that reminds me of MJ more. Idk if you saw JK's World Cup song but I thought I was watching MJ there too. He's an evolution of Michael. I love this song. It's a masterpiece. If anything deserves a Grammy, this does. I won't hold my breath but if anything about the Grammy's is fair... ever.... he should be all over it.

I liked your reaction; this song and performance definitely has Michael Jackson vibes. Jeon Jungkook is the main vocalist of the biggest global group in the world, and he is a very experienced and talented performer. I do get annoyed when people say he's the Asian version of MJ. We don't define English, American, Canadian etc performers by their race, but it always happens with BTS and other Asian artists. Let's just say he is an incredibly talented superstar, with an incredible performance history, legions of fans and worthy of the title of King of Pop.

Yes, Jungkook is a goodlooking man, great voice and dancer. You are right he has just released an album, Golden, for his nickname Golden Maknae. Did I forget to say that he is a superb performer. This song is clearly an homage to MJ, but Jungkook is capable of performing with many styles, I think he is still searching for his own style.

Most of these "reactions" are catering to ARMY for likes and follows. I get it that's the biz. The bass line has Thriller all over it, gives me Thriller with the vibe of "The Way You Make Me Feel", but with a Jung Kook spin. I was worried when Jin went into the military and BTS started on its long military service hiatus that the individual members would be silent. That aren't and Jung Kook is killin' it. That kid is going places. Jung Kook has a long way to go, both in his solo career and breaking in to the mainstream outside the Asian market. Comparisons will be a lot easier to make when he's got 10 years under his belt in a solo career and he keeps pumping out hits with staying power on Billboard. I think I know enough about him (or at least the persona he projects) to think he'd be the first to agree.
