She wasn't cleaing blinds, she was stripping, the dircotr of this movie, 9-1/2 weeks, asked Joe Cacker to do this song for the strip scene. It's like all the Quitin Tanantino movies, he could use the originals, but he chose to use rarely if ever heard of before versions of establised songs by other atrists. As with many older movies songs this one written by Randy Newman. As Newman put it: "According to a retrospective review, the song is a "potent mid-tempo rock tune" and a "witty and willfully perverse bit of erotic absurdity". Newman later admitted the song was, "too low for me to sing it". I can't rock it too hard, which maybe I should have...or maybe not. He offered it to Joe Cocker. In the Tarantion film Pulp Fiction, there Are 10 well known songs, none are done by the artists who made thim popuar.

Only heard it once before, faily recently, but cannot remember who sang it...not Joe. It was really good, kinda wanted it to longer, hoping for some of his high notes. Try Aint no Sunshine...haven't heard that by Joe, either. He was at Woodstock, has done some pretty wild stuff!

Love Joe Cocker, especially Stingray and Jamaica say you will albums - and some early live songs like the letter and she came in through the bathroom window. Fav probs Worrier and Jack of diamonds - and Lucinda. However he never had the sex appeal of Mr Jones.
