One love feeds the fire. One heart burns desire. I wonder who's crying now. Two hearts Born to run. Who will be the lonely one. I wonder who's crying now. There, I sang with you. Lol Neal's guitar solo at the end was depicting two lovers arguing back and forth.

Steve Perry is quite literally one of the best voices in music history. Journey stays in my rotation. Along side Fleetwood Mac. Their Rumors album is literally in the top albums ever written, toggling back n forth between #1 & #2. Not a bad song on it. But I digress, Steve Perry gives me all the feels!! Check out Faithfully. It's my favorite!

My girlfriend at the time and I saw Journey during this exact concert tour in Charlotte, October 1981. I was 16. Attending concerts was the think we really enjoyed doing together. Journey, Styx, Rush, Foreigner, REO Speedwagon. It was a great time to be alive. The music. Love was better. Relationships were closer. People were happier. Life was more relaxed. It was truly an incredible time to be young. So blessed to have these memories. Thanks for the great reaction.

I saw them live three times in the 80’s paying about 12 bucks for a ticket! I hate it for anyone who couldn’t see them back then because they sounded just like this live for three hours. It was amazing every time!

The lead singer Steve Perry is nickamed 'The Voice' for good reason. He is an amazing singer. He left Journey for good in 1998 and it wasn't until 2018 that he released a new album under his own name. He still has that magical voice, even now. For future suggestions, I suggest checking out the Journey song 'I'll Be Alright Without You."

You HAVE TO watch their Mother Father video from the same 81 Escape tour Houston if you really want to be blown away by Steve Perry's pipes!! He's known as "The Voice" for a reason!! & the entire 80 tour Osaka Japan (ewelord vid is the best)! When it gets to People & Places, Precious time, (both under rated) then Dixie Hwy & Homemade Love & the bluesy sound, it's great!! The keyboardist (Gregg Rolie) & Neal Schon (lead guitar) both started in Santana & Gregg wrote & sang some of their known songs (black magic woman). This was Gregg's last performance from their Departure album, Steve & him singing together was missed!! Dead or Alive (from 81 Houston) you'll also like!! Unbelievable

Your killing’ me bro. I love you man. I sound great to me with headphones on or the volume turned way up. What fun is listening to music if you don’t sing along from time to time, good or bad. The greatest point in life is when you don’t give a phuk about not giving a phuk. We need to do an off key duet. That would be the 💩

Fun Fact - As I've told very reactor to this song. The record label told Journey that Neal's guitar solo was way too long for radio play. And that they need to shorten the solo. Steve Perry wasn't having any of it! Steve argued with them. And told them, that if the radio stations wanted to shorten the solo for the next song. That was fine with him. HOWEVER!!! They weren't going to shorten the solo!! After going round and round with the label. The label agreed to keep the solo as it is!!!! Thanks to Steve, for fighting for this solo! And I'm so glad that Steve did fight for the solo part. Because, as I heard this song back in the day. And whenever I hear it now, the radio station plays the WHOLE SOLO!!!!!!! The next song waits for the song to end!!!...lol...

@@jimbojumbo5805 ... It's my job as a Classic Journey fan!!!...lol... But seriously, could you even imagine hearing the song with a short ending?? I can't even! As Steve has said, 'the songs are like my babies. Once their written and out there, they're on their own!' Classic Journey songs are soooo 'Timeless' now!!
