The late great Eddie Van Halen on guitar and keyboards!

How wonderful you got around to Van Halen! One of the best rock bands of the 80s and 90s. They tend to lean more hard rock, "Jump" being a rare fun-style song. David Lee Roth did leave the band, replaced with Sammy Hagar, but is still considered up high on the lists of best frontmen. Now, Eddie Van Halen, the lead guitarist, is a true treat. Not as evident in this song, but Eddie is unanimously considered one of the best guitarists of all time. He is ranked high on any list, usually in the top 1 or 2 spot, but always in the top ten along with Jimmy Page, Slash, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Brian May, and Prince. I highly recommend Eddie Van Halen's "Eruption" which you can find easily on KZbin.

Eddie Van Halen (Guitar) and Alex Van Halen (Drummer) are brothers. Eddie died in 2020. The lead singer, David Lee Roth, left in the 90's and was later replaced with Sammy Hagar. Bass player Michael Anthony left in '05ish and Eddie's son, Wolfgang, joined. They disbanded when Eddie died. (Wolfgang's mom is actress Valerie Bertinelli.) Eddie is regularly ranked high on Best Guitarists listings. I was in my early 20's when "Dance the Night Away" was released. Party time!
