Lana will not dissapoint you, her music is art and it’s very genuine but mysterious. Whatever you choose, you can’t miss.

Great reaction! Lana has a lot of different genres under her belt. If you continue with Ultraviolence, I’d suggest “Cruel World”, “West Coast”, and the title track “Ultraviolence”. One of her best tracks “Venice Bitch” (off her album Norman Fucking Rockwell!) is also very psychedelic.

Yes all of those, for sure. I also think ‘Peppers’ from her latest album is good, if he’s into more trap/hip-hop stuff.

Aww, I’m so glad you enjoyed! This album is amazing and I can’t imagine you wouldn’t like it especially after this reaction. So I would looove if you reacted to it. I’ll definitely be recommending more of her stuff down the line! If you like this I think you would like cruel world or sad girl from this album. Also if you wanna hear something totally different from her I would listen to some tracks off her first album. They have a lowfi hip hop influence. Like off to the races or the title track Born to Die. You really can’t go wrong with her music. She kinda has something for everyone :)

oh trust me lana is perfection. best living artist i would say. writes 100% of her songs, doesn't care about hits and numbers and being famous, just do what she feels like doing. truly a poet

She co writes a lot of her songs so definitely not 100%!

@pobstrel im absolutely sure it is 100%, even she cowrites some of her songs, it still means that she wrote all of them
@pobstrel11 ай бұрын
@@haendellmagalhaes6112 If it's co written then it can't be 100% because to do that she'd have had to have written it all on her own. Salvo mentions who she wrote it with at the start of the video.
@oliviarivera368011 ай бұрын
@@pobstrelshe still writes on 100% of her songs. Just cause she co wrote it doesn’t exempt her contribution. That’s like saying she doesn’t sing 100% of her songs because some of songs are duets

Personally I think Venice B!tch is better experienced in context of the album rather than solo especially for someone just getting into her stuff. It’s an amazing song. I just think you’ll be able to appreciate it more in context of the whole album. That’s kinda how I feel about most of NFR (album) I think it’s meant to be listened to as a whole. I think Cruel World or West coast from Ultraviolence may be more up your alley for rn since your just getting started. But that’s honestly just one persons opinion.

Some other great songs on Ultraviolence: 'Cruel World,' 'West Coast,' 'Pretty When I Cry,' 'Old Money' 'Sad Girl' 'Florida Kilos' and the title track, 'Ultraviolence.' Her songs are all very cinematic, especially on this album, like watching a movie in the film noir/surreal genre. Very Lynchian. :)

Lana's on her own dang level in her own dang lane ! Truly one of a kind in my opinion. She's wonderful at taking you places and making you feel things you may not have wanted or agreed to feel but my God you're going to feel them !!! 😅 i highly highly recommend some of her lives throughout her career before jumping into her entire discography starting with born to die. She made an appearance in 2012 at Amoeba in Hollywood .. choose any of those (video games, blue jeans, born to die) then arguably one of her best lives ever, from a show in 2015 her live performance of this song actually ! "Shades of Cool" posted on here by butterfly V. So good !! And then two more lives from her Texas show in 2018 ! "Love" and "When the World Was at War We Kept Dancing" try jumping into any of these as they're all so so good !!! Awesome reaction here though ! This is great stuff ! ❤

You should do an entire album reaction, I think you would enjoy "Ultraviolence" if you say you listen to rock, although "Born to die", "Norman Fucking Rockwell", "Chemtrails over the country club" and "Did you know that there's a tunnel under ocean boulevard" are regarded as her best albums, but don't worry, she never dropped a bad song or a bad album, she is the queen of aesthetic and drama.

Highly recommend *Venice Bitch* as the next Lana Del Rey reaction. It has even more of thaf psychadelic rock feel. Skip the music video on this one and just listen to the official audio. Make sure not to select the shortened version if you opt for a random lyric video. If you want to hear more from Ultraviolence, I suggest *Pretty When You Cry*. This song was freestyled and done in one take. Lana said, "The way you heard it recorded is the way I freestyled it. I made it up on the spot with my guitar player and left it as it was with that session drummer, and just called it a day on that song. Like the vocal inflection has its own narrative, it's not all lyric drive, it's just kind of moments in time that are meaningful to me left as they were, kind of untouched. The fact that I didn't go back and try to sing it better is really the story of that song, because that's sort of me revealing to you a facet of myself: I don't care that it's not perfect. That's why that song is more important in that way than what I'm actually saying."

SalvoG, I’m writing here as it’s a new video so I hope you see this. It’s been a minute since a Carpenters song and that’s too long. Also, in Rainy days you never mentioned that Karen was drumming. It was a sync performance so she was doing Hal’s drumming but still. Only if you knew could you tell. Now what I’m recommending has two purposes. First it’s from 1970 so early in their run and Karen is 20. It’s live so they’re playing live instruments and Karen is drumming while singing live. It’s uptempo so a bit jazzier in style. No one else has ever covered this complex song, not true anymore and that’s part two for later if you do this and fulfill the survey I just responded to about new artists. So, the song is The Bacharach/David Medley and was performed on The Ed Sullivan Show in November 1970 as a salute to Veterans. It was on the lawn of the Walter Reed Hospital. It is a showcase of their talents. I’m using keywords as links fail or are blocked. Carpenters Bacharach Medley Sullivan Walter Reed Choose the one from the Sullivan channel as it’s the best quality. I’ve requested this before never seen it blocked. You will get a lesson from this one on how great they were. I’ll come back with part 2 if you choose to do this. The hint is “never say never.” Joe
