Phil Perry is one of the most underrated singers of all time! Even at his current age, he can still outsing most of today's male vocalist! Listen to his cover of "Love Don't Love Nobody"

Eric Tagg is the original singer (wrote, produced and arranged with Lee Ritenour and Bill Champlin. George Duke and Stanley Clarke did another song with a similar voice (George Dukes) called "Sweet Baby" that came out around the same time and apparently, looking at comments here, was very much confused with this song. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZqWtemutiLVggLc

I remember when the Eric Tagg version some out we thought he was black 😲 This is when jazz started to make a comeback with the Duke and then Kenny G and the rest.

Eric Tagg could SANG… he didn’t look how he sounded, not just in race…. He looks more like a scientist. But Phil tore this up as he does all things. I’m a fan!! May he continue to bless us with new music. He’s due for a new album! His My Book of Love album is the one for me that has no skips, but his entire catalog is worth a listen.

Go on back and listen to some old-school Phil Perry. The Montclairs: "Make Up for Lost Time," "Dreamin's Out of Season," "Beggin' Is Hard to Do" - Entire album is fire. He's from East St. Louis and was about 17 when signed to the group.

@@billreed6909 Those were the days! The best music ever and such good times. So many good groups and singers, that I think we took for granted that we would always have great sounds available to us.

I have to add that Phil Perry's tribute to Aretha Franklin"s "Call Me" is one of the best listens you could ask for. His vocal range is ridiculous. His albums have to be among the best date night songs ever ..... ergo his fan classic "Forever" .... Highly recommended listening.

That 'smooth jazz' genre. When I get tired of the same ol' rock......and the easy listening, I go searching for a smooth jazz station.

Phil Perry has a AMAZING VOICE but very underrated. Could you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE react to Rochelle Farrell. I'm telling you that her voice is a freak of nature. React to Nothing Has Never Felt Quite Like This ft. Will Downing and With Open Arms as the main course 😁. You will get more out of it just listening to the recording instead of listening to it with the video. I promise you you WON'T be disappointed. I been trying for so long for someone to react to her and no luck. If you do it you will be the 1st. 😁😁😁😁😁🙏🙏🙏🙏
