I am so glad you featured a Canadian artist, and an artist I actually have seen live. I am Canadian and rejoice when you feature Canadians. When I saw him sing, actually three years ago, he had just released his first album. I didn't any of the songs he sang, but still it was a revelation and he created a very live ambiance. He sang beautifully and was available for a small chat later. His voice was so intimate exactly like here.

Yes, I'm no expert but the low voice, guitar tune, and other small things, has similarity. But Cash played to both to your face and your body, quite forward leaning. Colter seems to be playing it in a prison cell.

There is a musician on KZbin who has a similar voice to Colter Wall's voice! You have to react to him!! This dude's voice is even lower than Colter's voice and he is only 19 years old I think.
