I was lucky to meet Pantera back in 1992. I went to 23 shows in their tour with Skid Row from 1992-1993 and never paid for one show. My friends and I partied backstage with them every night. It was wild. The band and road crew are truly the greatest bunch of guys I ever met and miss those days so much. RIP Darrell and Vinnie. I miss you every day. Thanks for checking out Pantera again. Please give a listen to Five Minutes Alone. There is also a really cool song by Nickelback called Side of a Bullet that was written about Dimebag Darrell's murder please check it out. Dimebag was murdered on stage during the first, with his and his brother Vinnie's new band Damageplan, while performing in Columbus Ohio. He was shot 3 times in the back of his head, from a daranged fan who rushed the stage because he accused them from stealing his songs. He also killed 4 others and injured 2 more, before an officer put him down with a 12 guage shot gun. His brother passed yrs later from natural causes. RIP Dimebag & Vinnie

Great song, great album. First concert I ever attended was Pantera, Sepultura, Biohazard, for the Far Beyond Driven tour. Amazing first concert. Pantera and Sepultura are still two of my favorite bands, and Biohazard is still a solid listen. They did help bring a little more Hardcore into the metal scene, as they were all over MTV Headbangers ball in the Mid 90s.

Dimebag Darrell has the long darker hair and a beard. Plays guitar (6 strings, 2 humbucker pickups, Floyd Rose tremolo bridge). Always look at the strings if you're not sure if its a guitar or a bass. Bass (normally) has 4 strings and they're significantly fatter than guitar strings.

You might like Punishment by the band Biohazard. They had a heavy sound but mixed in some rap-style vocals on that one. Biohazard also did the title song with hip-hop group Onyx for the Judgment Night soundtrack. A lot of people thought Biohazard were the equivalent of Onyx and vice versa-both were just insane examples of their genres.

Pantera was a glam metal band just like Poison was but after their 3rd album they completely changed their image and sound becoming much more aggressive. A much more representative sound for the band that made them immortal and earned the respect of heavy metal bands. This theme was the beginning of a Pantera.

I noticed you guys haven't yet reacted to "Cowboys From Hell." This is probably their most popular song and it certainly is mine. Watch the official music video. There are all kinds of live performance videos out there for this song but--by far--the official video is the wildest and will send your testosterone to an all-time high. In fact, I wouldn't rank big-hair metal among my favorite genres, but "Cowboys From Hell" is just another level of intensity.

Dimebags Original name was Diamond Darrell. Walk was my Jam when I was in Junior High. The Lead Singer Phill Anselmo is someone you either love or hate. He has said and done questionable things in the past. He made some good msuic in the past though. Cowboys from Hell(1990) is Panteras best album in my opinion Also I kinda like the lighting in the hotel or wherever you guys are
