Phil is a boss. He's a wee little old man now but he KEEPS SHOWING UP! He's been doing shows seated but he's fighting against the dying of the light. Phil rocks hard! 💪🏻 God bless him 🙏🏼

I saw Phil and Geneis' last gig just over a month ago in London 02 arena. He's in a wheelchair now. Kinda sad to see him old but he's still got a belting voice bless him! Was epic. His son was on drums! Amazing, learn from the best ofc. And the musicians in the band were all incredible. They created some great sounds in Genesis. I'd suggest listening to a few of their popular tracks

I had the pleasure seeing Phil's Still Not Dead Yet tour in Denver October '19. Absolutely phenomenal concert as always!!! Fast forward to 2021, Chicago for Genesis Last Domino tour. Again, absolutely phenomenal concert and unfortunately an end of an era. Genesis produced some of the music industries greatest musicians of all time and best live performances. I've been a fan of everything Genesis since Abacab and Phil's Face Value in '81.

I love angry Phil Collins, either solo or with Genesis. There’s just something so cool about his voice when he gets loud or just dark. Speaking of, check out “Mama” by Genesis. Wicked sounding tune featuring Phil getting loud (1983). Maybe a lyric video with the audio instead of the official video. The song is shortened for the official video 👎

Phil is his own drummer on his songs, all the beats and drum lines are his. Of course when he does concerts he brings in his long time tour drummer Chester Thompson to help out, who does more than an adequate job filling Phil's shoes. Scene Phil in concert twice. A true showman.

Oh honey, the playlist for this would be 🔥.....”Ain’t gonna miss you when you’re gone” by Prince is right at the top. Also “Sail on” by The Commodores ...It’s like we’re trying to tell Will Smith it might be cheaper to keep her but it’s worth the money for peace of mind!
@danjohnson29862 жыл бұрын
Much respect. First. Good song suggestions. Secondly you said the Commodores as opposed to Lionel Ritchie which gets you extra cool points. Most people give him solo credit on that one. Will needs to cut his losses and his baggage and find his happiness outside of his marriage to that toxic woman. Random, but prince’s “the beautiful ones” is an underrated masterpiece. You can hear the moment he says “F it” and lets it all out. Chills. Every. Time.

@@danjohnson2986 I’m still waiting on the Commodores reunion .. hell I waited on the revolution to get back for 35 years and it cost us Prince but they did it. GNR got back together and I’m dying to read the terms of their agreement. Saw them both twice lol.

Yes, the guitar sure was singing too! The drums in this song are epic. Of course, Phil is a great drummer and he came up with this drum beat for this (and all of his songs, I imagine). I can't imagine the 80s without Phil Collins. Have you heard his "Let it Rain Down"? That's another emotional one that he belts out. And he does ballads like no one else too. My favorite song of his is "Against All Odds". It makes us ladies tear up. : ) Great reaction!

Collins - tremendous musical history and hits with band and solo. During mid 80's became uncool - too commercial, too radio, too DISNEY (which is he sang/penned a few). Looking back - man was a monster hit maker, and deserved of all his success. Never be another one like him (as well the oddity of drummer becoming lead singer - which is rare)

Anything Phil Collins/Genesis is just AMAZING! Have you reacted to Easy Lover? It’s a good song. Also, One More Night, I wish it would rain down (I think Eric Clapton plays guitar, I may be wrong), Take Me Home (I feel this is just as good as In the Air Tonight), and I can’t Dance (some of these may be with Genesis but I love them all).
