Freddie is probably the greatest front man ever ... Each band member could sing, play at least one or more instrument's, write music / lyrics and each one of the band wrote at least one number one song ... Great reaction guys, thanks.

Each band member did in fact play multiple instruments. Three of the band members sang, Freddie Mercury, Roger Taylor, and Sir Brian May. John Deacon did not sing and readily admitted that he was not a singer. During concerts his mike was either turned down low or was off. Despite his not singing he was an equal integral member of the band who wrote some of their biggest hits.

The Live Aid show is a must watch imo. Queen the band was flawless but Freddie Mercury really was something else entirely, the stage presence, the voice, the carisma, the way he interacted with the audience. Freddie truly was one of a kind.

Not to mention he had been having throat problems, but when he got on that stage he was In The Zone and sang near perfection. From what I heard, he said afterwards, that his throat was on fire and he felt like he had been gargling with glass. Now There is true loyalty and dedication. To his band mates, to the audience, to his fans, to his family, to the world, really... Freddie gave us his everything, always, but that evening in particular was truly magic. Because Bohemian Rhapsody was of course, a movie, timelines had to be moved along, so when you think about it, it's kind of hard to believe how much time had actually elapsed between the breakup of the band, to Freddie's epiphany and apology and Live Aid. You wouldn't have thought they could have been apart for that long. But thank the Heavens that Freddie put his pride aside and asked for that forgiveness everyone needed. And yes, if they had not performed at Live Aid, they would have regretted it the rest of their lives. 💔 🧡🖤💔🧡🖤💔🧡🖤💔🧡🖤💔🧡🖤💔💛

When Freddie leaves the piano for the second time, Brian had some sort of malfunction with his guitar and disappears to the back of the stage. Freddie looks behind to see what's happening and fills the gap seamlessly with his audience participation until Brian returns, gives a little nod and Freddie resumes singing. Consumate professionals. RIP Freddie!

6:26 Brian had an issue with his guitar (exit stage right) Rodger on drums gives Freddy the cue to stall for time, Freddy (says 'i got this') and seemlessly works the crowd. 7:47 Freddy looks left, sees Brian is ready to return & its back on with the song. As a sad side note this epic gig was 10 years to the day before Freddy passed 😢 & we all still miss him very much.

As long as humans will live, nobody would be better. 60.000 people, who had complete different preferences were taken by freddie in seconds. His aura and crowed control was beyond human behaviour. My next favorite live performance by Queen (They are consistently the best live band ever, in my opinion) is White Queen live at Odeon, Hammersmith 12/24/1975. There is along instrumental portion in this song that sums up why this band is so legendary. Every member is top in their field and the history and facts about the members is amazing and bountiful. Ask any Queen fan and they will always tell you "watch them live in preference to studio versions", although some of the videos are great too. As for suggestions, may I offer "Under Pressure" live at Wembley, where you will get Freddie's great "eey oh" interaction with the audience, "Love Of My Life" live in Rio, where the audience actually sings TO Freddie, and of course the great, iconic "Live Aid". But make sure you pick a video of Live Aid that doesn't cut the ending - a lot of the most recent reactions are spoilt by that and we fans end up a bit disappointed. Anyway, Queen is such a deep rabbit hole that I could just go on and on, but I won't! Discover it all for yourselves and enjoy!

If you really liked this performance, you should ALSO check out: "SOMEBODY TO LOVE" LIVE AT... MILTON KEYNES BOWL IN 1982 The Milton Keynes Bowl performance of this song is actually the one that Queen put in their official compilation of Best Live Performances! The 1982 Milton Keynes rendition tends to "fly under the radar" because 1981 Montreal was filmed in 35 mm... But, EVERY reactor who's watched both, has said they like the Milton Keynes performance even MORE. (One reactor actually said "Montreal is the appetizer, Milton Keynes Bowl is the meal!")

I'm a retired studio/touring audio engineer who has worked with bands like Aerosmith, Metallica, Kiss, and Chicago. It was unusual to have live recordings of this caliber in the late 70s early 80s. It was only possible for bands with basically unlimited resources. There was most likely a tractor trailer parked just outside with a full studio setup and everything was multi tracked just like in a studio. That gives much more control on the final mix. Of course you have to take into account they are/were phenomenal artists and had that magical spark that only happens rarely. Great band and great reaction. Keep it up.

There are other good versions but Roger's backing vocals put this at #1 for me. Other great live songs are Fat Bottomed Girls live at the Bowl 1982, Save Me and Dragon Attack from this concert and White Queen from Hammersmith Odeon 1975. With show time approaching, towels and drinks for the band’s refreshment on stage would now be strategically placed: water and beer for Fred, beer for Brian and Roger and the Backstage Bar for John, comprising water, beer, soft drinks, wine and whatever spirit or cocktail he fancied at the time: Southern Comfort, vodka or tequila. - Peter Hince (aka Ratty), Fred’s and John’s roadie and head of Queen’s crew.

B&B, you’ll love Queen. I am 60 years old and grew up during their era. One of the greatest bands ever, if not the greatest! I find it so amusing when I see “youngsters” like you on YT discovering our oldies’ icons and not knowing much about them. 🙃 Good music is good music, does not matter if it is 300 years old or 3 days. Oh yes, I am a Dimash dear.

I was fortunate enough to see them a few times. The first time was during their first U.S. tour in 1974. Always a great show.

They were and are "SOMEBODY TO LOVE". Now you really know why they are loved. I am a Queen fan since they began, late 70's thru,,,, I literally got physically ill when Freddie got sick and died. Geez, they were an iconic group. I have yet to hear a group like them. Live or on disc. I knew they were perfectionists and would rehearse, even if no one else did. (Live Aid) They made everyone else, McCartney, John, literally everyone look sad. Backstage, they were elated. They actually "saved" Live Aid"s donations. Their performance was, to this day, considered the "best" live performance of any group in history. That's why the phrase "The Note Heard Around the World" was coined.. that was Freddie's. So, all I can say is Kudos to you'all for listening and loving them like the rest of the world does. I miss Fred and Queen. He was someone yo watch. On stage, he was Megga Magnificent. God what a showman. Congrats to BARS and BARS...

Nicely done you two! :) Freddie.... Wow, he’s amazing in so many ways, it’s surreal ❤ Best frontman ever, and his vocals are truly over the top! He could sing anything... and superbly. The band in its entirety, phenomenal! All of them, and particularly all together. They were experts and knew exactly how to feed off each other! They took it seriously and produced the best results. Freddie is a true Legend! One of a beautiful kind ❤ Thanks for doing this reaction. :)

Great reaction. EVERY Queen live performance was electric. Freddie gave 200% every single time, as did the rest of the guys. There's a reason they are icons. Even when they first started out in the 70s, they were musically perfect and exciting live. You should definitely check out their performance of " White Queen" in Hammersmith at the Odeon in 1975. It will blow you away! Climb down the Queen rabbit hole. You will be amazed.

Freddie has repeatedly been voted "Best Frontman". He has all the attributes in spades. Definitely recommend the Live Aid performance. For your benefit, do a quick google about the Live Aid festival. It should be noted Queen was not the closing/headliner act, but they stole the entire show. The love from the crowd is infectious. Great reaction you two - I'm subscribing ❤❤
