The song is about a true story in Germany. About two men that hooked up to eat a person. The one wanted to be eaten and the other wanted to eat. Look it up, it was on the news. And yes you have to speak or understand the German language to understand their vocals, Or turn on subtitles....... duh lol. The music is called Industrial. As a German immigrant I am proud of this band and my culture. We should all engage and celebrate each others cultures. But if you dont like metal then I can't understand why you even did this reaction.... To each their own. 🙂

This one is really heavy and "dark".. Maybe "Ohne dich" is more appropriate and a lot of their song if not all can have double ou triple meaning. You can check their most popular song too -"Du hast" live in Paris

Live performance from them to watch: Sonne (Moscow 2019) It's fantastic 😏their live performances are pretty much all insane but it's uh... "tamer" than Mein Teil. Also the song is overall more "first timer" friendly if that makes any sense. It's still heavy but I think the "wow" factor from the performance will help

If you don't like heavy and you wan't to give them a second chance try the videos "Ohne dich" or "Zeit" but in general a they have a lot of heavy stuff. Not everything is for everyone, the world would be a boring place otherwise. Thanks for the video. I think you did a good job. Since their songs are mostly in German a translation is helpful.

I appreciate most RAMMSTEIN songs but I’ve never heard this one before. There’s always an underlying CONCEPT with each one. I didn’t get this one but I noticed that someone commented on “CANIBAL” so I’m clueless about it all. 🤷🏻‍♀️ There are much better songs and MV’s by this GERMAN ROCK INDUSTRIAL BAND.

Oh no ... if you are new to Rammstein "Mein Teil" should NEVER NEVER NEVER be the First Song from them. Over more than 30 years they created 40 masterpieces. I love the music, every song is different and unique, but lyrics and topics are sometimes very weird. Please dont watch the official Video of "Mein Teil" its eben worse. Brillant songs from Rammstein which you will like are: Zeit (official video), ich will (live Hurricane Festival 2016) or "du riechst so gut" (live Hellfest 2016)

Hello, its me again, it was 3 o'clock in the morning in Germany when I wrote my comment and I want to add something. Who ever told you to listen to "Mein Teil" first commited a crime. Because its a very dark and weird and disturbing song. Rammstein are true artists and everything they do they try to go to the max. Mein Teil is a Song about a true Story. Its about the cannibal of Rothenburg who agreed with an Internet Freund to meet and cook and eat his genitals. Terrible, disgusting, sick thats true. But originally tue song was written as a Media critic because back than Media in Germany Reported so much about this crime instead of the war in former Yugoslavia which was ongoing at the time. You cant know anything of this so it was just totally unfair to recommend that song to you. I feel very sorry because Rammstein realrly has very beautiful songs. I can imagine that for the Moment you are Done with them but please try only one Minute of some of the following songs: Zeit (official video), Ohne dich (official video), Adieu (official video), Mutter (live Paris), Du riechst so gut (live Hellfest 2016), mein Herz brennt Piano Version (official video), Rammlied (live Madison Square Garden), Sehnsucht (live 2019), ich will (live Hurricane Festival 2016).
