Lots of people have ideas of an order to watch and listen to Ren. It's usually "Hi Ren", "Sick Boi", and "Tale of Jenny and Screech". Personally I recommend just going to his channel and picking any one at random .

His latest came out last week. It's called "Fred Again Mashup". The name isn't exciting, but the performance might be his best. He takes 5 tracks from EDM producer Fred Again and completely reinvents them into something new. Ren is a musical alchemist.

Okay, you just got listed on Top of my list of favourite reactors discovering Ren. I love the thoughtful and calm insights and opinions, your awareness and your appreciation of the art Ren puts on the table. As to where you should go next in your Ren journey, all of his songs are great and it really depends on what mood you want lol if you would like a dark mystery, then you need to do the trilogy of Jenny screech violet, if you are looking to see him rap, you could go for The Hunger or Illest Of Our Time. If you’re looking to see him, sing some wonderful duets with his friends chinchilla you could go for Chalk Outlines or how to be me if you’re looking to go deep and heartfelt you could touch on Freckled Angels, suicide, or for Joe which are all about his friend that died in his 20s. And if you’re looking for upbeat, he has that as well like power and losing it and my favorite what you want. No matter what you choose. You can’t go wrong on this roller coasterof Ren. Enjoy.

Firstly I applaud your sobriety👏 The great thing with Ren, is the variety, you just never know what you will get. The Tales trilogy is storytelling at his finest, Money Game trilogy is an education and makes us all think, his collabs are always with fellow amazing artists, his band The Big Push do some fantastic covers as well great originals. Anything off the Sick Boi is just fire, my personal favourite is Seven Sins and then just last week his acoustic mash up of Fred Again songs is his singing at its finest. So many for whatever mood you may be in. Hey an hour behind. I didn't know that. Congrats sweetie. I was on oxy from having so many knee and back surgeries. I kept needing more and more to kill the sharpness of the pain. I opened my eyes one day and I was taking a lot per day and the strong stuff. It was never going to end, so I weaned myself off in 3 months and changed my diet to a diet similar to Ren's. I started walking and just dealt with the pain. I eat foods that have low histamines to keep swelling and inflammation as low as possible. I did this about 3 yrs ago. I refuse to even take a big pharma ibuprofen, aspirin or Tylenol.

Don’t worry too much about what to pick next. For the most part there are no bad choices cause everything involving Ren is great. There are just a few where the version and order is important if you want the best experience: The trilogy of Tales: Jenny -> Screech -> Violet (there’s a video with all 3 in order and it’s best to go through all in one go anyway) Freckled Angels (both studio and live version are good in different ways so take your pick or do both) -> (optional:) How To Be Me live with Chinchilla -> Suicide -> For Joe Money Game part 1, part 2 (make sure to do the official lyrics video! The live version is also brilliant and worth checking out, but it is only half of the song so don’t do it first), and part 3. There’s also a Love Music series that’s arguably best done in order from 1 to 4, but it isn’t as important. Other than this? Go nuts and enjoy the journey down the Ren rabbit hole 🖤🐰🕳️

Thanx for another great reaction Saeed, 👍 Regarding record labels: Ren signed a contract with Sony in 2010. But due to his illness he couldn't fulfill it and had to terminate it in 2016. Now he's independent and in October 2023 his album 'Sick Boi' was number one in the U.K. album charts.

This song was actually my first introduction to Ren, and while rap isn't really my thing, I appreciate the HELL out of the song's message as someone with a story similar to Ren's (my autoimmune disease was misdiagnosed as a mental illness and I spent FIFTEEN YEARS begging doctors to take me seriously, which they didn't do until I started having seizures and other symptoms that are difficult to impossible to fake). You're very perceptive and empathetic! Good luck with the channel :)

Loved you reactions to Ren! Subbed for more. He most definitely is a generational artist. Based on some of your comments in this reaction, I have a couple of suggestions that will show even more of his diversity. First, he has a song called Diazepam. It is a lyric video and gives such insight into the drug and its dangers, all in the form of beautiful music. The second one is Eden, based on your comments about striving to see the good in humanity. Eden is a piece of art that brings me to tears at the end (in a hopeful way). It is a video that comes into play after he finished Money Game 3. It explains much about Ren's view of humanity. Both of these are different from any other Ren music (as is often the case with Ren). His catalog runs so deep and spans so many genres and mixes genres within songs. You really can't go wrong with whatever you choose. The Tales and the Money Game 1, 2 & 3 are classic go tos in the beginning. His hip hop and rap songs are amazing. He just recently got a number one album in the UK and top 200 Billboard in the US for his hip hop album Sick Boi as an independent artist. He created and produced much of the music and marketed Sic Boi while receiving daily and often invasive medical treatment for the damage the Lyme disease has done to his body. And, then there is his band, The Big Push. The thing about Ren is he will introduce you to many more amazingly talented artists. Chinchilla, Sam Tompkins, Romaine Axisa, Viktus, Eden Nash and many others. Ren's rabbit hole is really a labyrinth of wonderful discoveries. Enjoy😊

Doctors told Ren "Your mind is making you sick" for about 7 years while he had Lyme Disease. By the time it was properly diagnsed, the combination of it not being treated for so long and the unnecessary psychotic pills he was given led to major damage to his nervous system and psychosis.

Hello Saeed! I hear you talking and I can tell you that you have just found a good travelling friend. Ren and you think so similar, so you are going to be surprised in every song you find, I think you will love the two thrilogies, money game and the tales. Even if the road is heavy you can just enjoy some fun songs like Lost it or Loco. And when you want to bathe in lyrics you have Genesis, Seven sins, Illest of our time and many more. We end with something soft but deep with Chalk outlines, How to be me, fred again mush up or some of The big push band. Each one unique and different but with its own stamp and soul. Yes this song sets the scene for Hi Ren. Most of his songs are stories about the human condition. The Money Game trilogy is 3 lessons about money and our relationship with it, how it can free us but also trap us. The dark trilogy "Tale of jenny and Screech" is inspired by a real news story in 2005, and is a brutal look at the way people can do bad things when they ignore the consequences, often creating an endless cycle of destruction.

Soo here for your Ren journey! I don't believe there is a right order of songs to react to, they are all amazing, just go with whatever picks your curiosity. Having said that, there are the tales that must be watched in order. If you watch the one that says full (it's 13 minutes long)then you are ok. The order is Jenny, Screech and then Violet. Then, there is the money game trilogy.That is self explanatory, part 1,2( lyric video not live one) and 3. And lastly, there is the unofficial trilogy of Freckled Angels, Suicide and For Joe- this one is a hard one and judging from your comments, it will hit ❤ Anyway, I will be here for all of it.
