Roxette have so many songs... cant list them all here. They were very popular her in Australia! I saw Roxette for the first & last time in my hometown of Melbourne, Australia in 2012. Magnificent performance. Not long afterwards, I heard on the news Marie passed from brain cancer. I was devastated... A great band & voice lost. R.I.P Marie 🕊⚘️

Roxette were a Swedish duo - Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle (he was the main songwriter, incl. this song). They released 10 albums between 1986 and 2016. Unfortunately Marie fell ill in 2002 with a brain tumour which caused a lot of ongoing health issues. Very sadly we lost her in 2019 😢. Marie was the best. On a side note, the Roxette musical 'Joyride the Musical' opened in Sweden this week. The music is Roxette's and the story is based on a novel by English author Jane Fallon, who is the partner of comedian Ricky Gervais, who you might of heard of). You should react to the song Joyride next!

The lead singer on this song is Marie Fredricksson. She died of cancer a few years ago. Great voice. Try It must be Love by them. By the way Roxette is a Female/Male duet. Per Gessle sings lead sometimes too.

Their album Look Sharp was a massive success. Check out their song "The Look" for a more upbeat one. For me though, "Dangerous" from the same album has been my fave since I first bought the LP back in '88 when it dropped. And boy, was Marie one of my first singer crushes. RIP

An amazing group. RIP Marie! The main members are Marie and Per. They made so many amazing songs in the 80/90's. Keep going down this rabbit hole. The song "The Look" was their breakout song in America. A funky rock/pop banger that MTV played the hell out of. They wrote a song that was used in the movie PRETTY WOMAN called, "It Must Have Been Love" that was huge. Others have mentioned song to react to as well. Keep checking them out.

Roxette was a Swedish pop rock duo consisting of Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle, both of whom were already established musicians in Sweden prior to the band's formation. Sadly, we lost Marie in December 2019 after a long battle (17 years) with a cancerous brain tumor.

Marie Fredriksson, who was the lead singer has passed away the 9th December, 2019. But the male half of Roxette, Per Gessle (songwriter of almost all the songs) will be on tour, next year with a new female singer...
