Reasons why Sleep Token have been given a headlining slot at Download: 1. May 2023 Sleep Token won the Best UK Artist award at the Heavy Music Awards. 2. June 2024 Sleep Token won Best Album award at the Heavy Music Awards. The album in question, Take Me Back To Eden, out streamed Metallica's 72 Seasons on Spotify by over 300 million streams!! It also entered the UK Album Chart at Number 3! 3. Selling out Arenas in record time. Last December, they sold out all 12,000 tickets for Wembley Arena in under 10 minutes. They also set a new revenue record for merchandise sales at Wembley Arena! Overall, the last 18 months or so has been huge for the band with soldout shows all over the US, Europe, and the UK. I recommended them a while ago so I'm really happy to see you reacting to them! Sleep Token have a lot of variety and range - Alkaline doesn't show off too much of this (although it is one of their biggest hits). Ascenscionism, Take Me Back to Eden, or The Summoning are all songs which give more of a taste of what they can do and offer a lot of switch-ups.

Sleep Token has stormed onto the scene and bent every metal purist's brain into a mushy pretzel. They simply can't handle it. I absolutely love them. They don't care about fitting into any one genre. They are free and it comes through in everything they do. Life's too short to allow the views of others to sway you. Love what you love. Smile and carry on.

Subbed for more Sleep Token!!! They are by far one of the best bands out. Vessel's voice is like butter, rich and smooth. His lyrics are second to none. He's a true genius and musical prodigy, he can play all instruments (and does when recording in studio except for the drums which is II on percussion & drums) and he is a modern day poet. The imagery he paints with his lyrics and that fantastic voice is so good. Asking what my fav is by ST, well that's like trying to pick one child iver another as a favorite 😂. You just can't 😂😂. I love everything they've done. Their latest album Take Me Back To Eden probably is their most progressive album but they have 3 albums that are a trilogy. They have one topic that's a story told over their entire discography. It's epic! And i saw them live here in the US this past May. Best concert ever!! Mm The pure talent in this band is phenomenal. Great reaction. I suggest start with Chokehold on the Eden album and play it all the way through. Not a skip on it. Truly a masterpiece of an album. Alkaline is good, but they've evolved since then. Can't wait for the journey you're about to embark on with Sleep Token 😁. Just expect the unexpected 😂 Worship ❤

My favorite Sleep Token songs at the moment would be Vore, Ascensionism, The Apparition, and The Offering. I'd highly recommend checking those songs out, especially Vore, for some great variety from them. Worship 🤘

alkaline was a single on their second album -- a good song but definitely their take on a more "radio friendly" hit! here's a bit about the band: they're anonymous and consist of vessel (shown here in the mask -- he writes the music and plays all instruments minus the drums in the recordings, i believe he also has a hand in production), ii (drums live and in the recordings), and iii and iv (bass and guitar respectively in their live shows). there are no words to describe this band, you just gotta listen to them. they currently have 3 albums which are a trilogy and tell an intricate story through the writing, imagery, and lore of the band. i recommend the following to get a sense of vessel's insane skill and the band's diverse sound: - the summoning (this is the song that went viral recently and gained them a lot of popularity) - vore (this is one of their heaviest songs, shows vessel's vocal range well) - take me back to eden (this shows how genre-bendy they can get in one song... a personal fav) - the apparition (a little slower but a personal fav) - higher, the offering (these ones are just epic lmfao)

This is a VERY lyric focused band so I'd disagree about the not knowing the lyrics bit. I heavily recommend listening from the beginning because the themes from the songs build up on each other so well.

Vessel, can you do this with your voice? Vessel: Yes.😂 Seriously, I love Alkaline, but like others said on here this isn’t Vessel’s most versatile despite it being one of their more popular songs. If you want heavy and versatile check out Vore, Gods, take me back to Eden, The summoning, Granite etc… they don’t have one bad song though, their lore is fascinating and also to make even cooler it’s only two guys who write and record the studio albums which is Vessel and II who does only the drums while Vessel does all the other instruments. ❤

I don't think alkaline itself is a part I/part II, but the 3 x LP's released so far are a trilogy, and alkaline is actually right in the middle, being track 7 of the 2nd album. Each subsequent album has some callbacks/references to earlier ones, particularly Take Me Back To Eden The film clip is possibly the singer/songwriter (Vessel) fighting and defeating his demons. Becoming more accepting of his circumstances moving forward.
