Kiara is the reason we call Calli 'Dad', herself being the 'Mommy', during their first year they used to do a skit of Kiara constantly coming on to Calli, Calli being a Reaper (Death) and Kiara being a Phoenix (Enternal Life) they kind of compliment one another, like a little Yin Yang thing they had going ^^

Actually the Calli Dad memes started when she read "My Dad is the Queen of All Vtubers" on stream. It stuck in large part because of her Dad energy. Kiara mom stuff honestly spawned from Calli Dad rather than the other way around.

It came from how she takes care and treats KFP, since she hatches us according to "lore" and because of her mommy attitude like calling us "you little shit", etc. And then it become more proeminent because Kobo chose Kiara as her mommy (this was also before Kobo chose Calli as her dad). Its actually a big coincidence that Calli is the dad and Kiara is the mom, because it didn't come from the Takamori ship.

If I remember correctly, this dancing was recorded at Amelia Watson house when Kiara was at USA (last June). Amelia created a mini studio to record with 3d motion capture at her home. The video is created by @ kanauru that is known because makes funny meme videos about Hololive and other vtubers agencies. Kanauru officially created other videos for other members.

Kiara's family name "Takanashi" is a real Japanese name, literally "the absence of hawks", but written as "little birds come out to play", one of the puns inherent in the language. This fits her character as a phoenix, but then some argue that she's really a chicken, specifically a fried chicken! Regarding the 3D avatar. At stage shows the talents do their own mo-cap work as they all have their distinctive movements that would be difficult to imitate. But for music videos, there are cases where professional dancers/choreographers take over the tougher parts, such as Houshou Marine's "I'm Your Treasure Box" where the well-known choreographer Wata did the mo-cap for her. There is also another method MMD, which is purely 3D animation where the movements are programmed, and then the "skin", or the character's appearance, is wrapped over the underlying basic figure.

Fun fact, this was recorded when all of Myth met for the first time for an offcollab (basically an IRL meetup). This was quite a hugely anticipated event because covid kept them from meeting IRL for quite some time. Kiara was struggling to find a studio to record her birthday live concert so she went to Amelia's place to record using her mocap studio.

Kiara is pronounced 'Kee-Ar-Ra'. She's from the Hololive English branch. She's Austrian and she speaks 3 languages. German (her native), English & Japanese and she's extremely fluent in both. She even has a live talk show called Holotalk where she interviews Japanese Hololive talent and live translates to the audience. As you can see from this video, she's an excellent dancer. And yes, she mo-capped those as well and it works really well for a dance music video. Following up, I'd recommend the Hololive Myth group song 'Non Fiction'. Kiara the chicken aka phoenix is our only European representative in Hololive because she is from Austria. She is one of five Holotori/Holobirds (an inter-branch subunit within Hololive consisting of all talents who are canonically birds), and the other four are: Oozora Subaru (duck), Pavolia Reine (turkey), Takane Lui (hawk) and Nanashi Mumei (owl). I would like to recommend Nanashi Mumei with her song A New Start. We know you adore Gura, and Mumei is called Gura's sister or twin because of her very similar voice (which even they get confused, I recommend clips of it) and having a similar sense of humor, and it is sometimes said that they share the same brain cell. On top of that, Mumei is also very talented when it comes to singing. And the song itself, A New Start, is brilliant both musically and animation-wise. On that note, Calliope Mori has recently put out a rather retro MV for the song Dance Past Midnight feat. AmaLee, who you have heard some covers from before. The song is good in and of itself, but the video really adds that Late 80's/Early 90's vibe to it.

Kiara a really good dancer and there were a number of streams last year about her struggles to get the motion capture set ups that do her dances justice. There are even a couple of streams she did where she teachers other holomem, including Gura, some dance moves in VR. Another very good dancer in Hololive is Aki Rosenthal. She is more classically trained with a layer of bellydancing added in. I want to see if we can convince you to watch birthday and anniversary concerts. There are only about 30 of those a year.

You’re now familiar with four out of five members of Hololive Myth, which is regarded as something of a golden generation within Hololive. Luckily, the fifth, Amelia, has her first original song coming out in a couple days, so you might get a chance to complete the set soon. As for Kiara, she is incredible. Those are indeed her movements. She is a trained dancer, and even once played dance instructor for a stream to her genmates when they were preparing for their official 3D debut. Her singing voice is very unique and certainly a treat. She’s got more great songs, my favorite of which is 4Blood, which is labeled a cover but was actually arranged by the original artist, Kira (who also produced Do U and another Kiara original, Sparks).

Yes, she danced all of that when she went to visit Amelia Watson (one of her Gen mates in HoloEN) and she also recorded a whole 3D live there, she said in one of her streams that there were some parts that couldn't be fixed (since they didn't had the equipment from the Hololive studio in Japan) but, as always, the Ame way manages to make things work.

Thank you for finally reacting to our Tenchou (manager)! My little chimken heart is overflowing with joy to see how much you enjoyed her song. I hope you take some time to listen to some of her other tracks. Yes, the dance routine you see is all MoCap, and Kiara practiced the heck out of those moves to make it perfect and repeated the recording many, many times because they had difficulties with calibrations and such on the day of the recording, I remember her saying that she spent something like 8 hours recording this! Kiara is by far, THE best dancer in Hololive, and has damn nice singing voice. She's also fully fluent in German (her native tongue, being Austrian), as well as English and Japanese. As a matter of fact, she is completely fluent in Japanese, not just conversationally fluent like some of the others (meaning she has native level fluency). Kiara (Pronounced Key-ARA) has worked as an Idol before joining Hololive, which is why in one Stream when they got their 3D Concert Debut at the 3rd Holofest Calli almost broke down in tears remembering stories between them about both of them Playing gigs they were booked for in front of literally empty rooms/venues. And as for the Calli is Dad and Kiara is Mom thing it started as a joke during an Uno stream where Kiara said something and ended the sentence with Dad, and Calli without thinking responded to her, which then got stronger with Calli playing "Papers Please" and playing a Father Role while Kiara played a few streams of Sims and Kiara's and Calli's in Game avatars ended up together and had a Daughter named Clara. And then it went even farther on when Kobo Kanaeru joined Hololive ID Gen 3 and got adopted by Kiara as her Daughter and Calli as her son.

HOLOLIVE TUESDAYS LET'S GOOO! Do U is probably my favorite Kiara track. She's got a few good ones, and definitely has a lot of talent in both vocals and dancing. Also there's a new Deco*27 Miku song titled (Not) A Devil and it's fantastic. You should check it out at some point. I predict some Hololive covers of it in the near future.

Most Hololive members have a musical presence, so you have your work cut out for you if you want to listen to them all, but I would recommend Azki, who joined Hololive's music division around the same time as Suisei. I think her original song Inochi would be a good start.

I'd like to recommend that you react to "Non-fiction" by Hololive Myth and "Rise" by Hololive Council. Both are not only really good songs on their own, but together they also have all current members of the English branch of Hololive (except Irys) singing. I would like to know what you think about their vocals and style (and I'd also want to recommend some of their individual songs but I'll do that once you've reacted to the respective songs).

Everytime I listen to this song I feel like a lose a bit of time, because it's over so fast. The choreo along with the music is in a way hypnotizing. I love and hate not being able to fully concentrate on the song. But I guess in the end it's all the same. 🙂 And since you mentioned Twice yourself, Kiara is a bit of a Twice fan herself, and a K-Pop fan in general. She and all the others who worked on this song purposefully included K-pop elements both into the musical style and into the choreo.

Once you get a chance to hear Ame on her own, I have to recommend "Journey Like a Thousand Years" by all of HoloMyth. Calli did the writing and video, Ina the illustration, and the emotion in that song is just so powerful.

Kiara has some other originals, like Hinotori (her debut song), Sparks, or heart challenger. For a milestone, she even payed for alternative style remixes of Hinotori from some known artists. All her songs recomended, and all have something diferent. In Do U she said she went for a k-pop feel

I’m so glad you finally reacted to Kiara! If you liked this one, her song Sparks is in a similar vein. I’d love to throw out another song I don’t see recommended here very often- Bad End Night. It’s basically a murder mystery movie in a song, featuring a whopping nine hololive artists. If you decide to check it out, definitely do so with captions (Hololive produced them, so they’re very accurate) to get a better idea as to what’s going on.

Tenchou coming in with another K(iara)-Pop banger! Kiara was a former Idol in JP from Aus so its so good to finally see her moving around doing her thing and show us what she can actually do, and yes this was her actually dancing and while this is amazing its still a step under what they can actually do at Covers proper studio, this was done on a short trip to America where her Gen mate Amelia Watson set up a home 3d studio that she paid for to support her projects. Studio Ame and the GOAT Kanauru comin to the rescue to make this amazing project happen and it couldnt have gone better. If youd like to hear more from the fiery -Chicken- Phoenix Hinotori is literally and anime OP, Heart Challenger is overflowing with idol power, and Sparks is another K(iara) - Pop sensation

I think the count is 10 hololive members so far, Calli, Suisei, Okayu, Towa, Moona, Risu, Ina, Gura, Watame, and now Kiara, I may have missed one, but yes, with 60 ish members I think you will keep getting surprised by these girls and the holo stars as well :) Still gonna recommend Roboco's 『コトノハ』and Ina'nis' cover of Nai Nai, or either roboco's or okayu and Aqua's cover of song of sketch. If you doing clips of hololive on stream please do Amane Kanata's cover of Unravel from her 3rd anniversary live stream.
