I was a baby when I heard them in the mid 60s ...I was 4 and always loved this group...back in those days their music had an excellent high quality production....her voice was magnetic and beautiful....I must comment...you look really nice and relaxed beautiful sister...I'm glad you found shelter...now you can focus on making money...may the creator sends his angels to inspire you towards wealth.

You might want to check out the Bacharach medley. In it, she sings bits of a half dozen songs while drumming and performs flawlessly. There are several different performances to choose from: my personal favorites are 1972 in Australia and 1970 at Walter Reed hospital.

Hurting Each Other was released as the second single from the Carpenters 1972 album: A Song For You. It was written by Gary Geld and Peter Udell. It was produced by Jack Daugherty. The song reached #1 on the Adult Contemporary chart, #2 on the Cash Box 100 and #2 on the Hot 100. No info on the music video available. Billboard ranked it as the #65 song for 1972. The song is a cover of a 1965 song of the same name by Jimmy Clanton And The Anne Phillips Singers. The Carpenters recorded "Hurting Each Other" with instrumental backing from LA sessions musicians from The Wrecking Crew, towards the end of 1971. The Carpenters Info 📰: The Carpenters (officially known as Carpenters) were an vocal and instrumental duo consisting of siblings Karen Carpenter born on March 2, 1950 in New Haven, Connecticut and Richard Carpenter born on October 15, 1946 in New Haven, Connecticut. They produced a distinctive soft musical style, combining Karen Carpenter's contralto vocals with Richard Carpenter's harmonizing, arranging and composition skills. During their 14-year career, The Carpenters released 14 studio albums, two Christmas albums, two live albums, 49 singles, numerous compilation albums and several television specials. Their music continues to attract critical acclaim and commercial success. They have sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling music artists of all time. The Carpenter siblings were born in New Haven, Connecticut, and moved to Downey, California, in 1963. Richard Carpenter took piano lessons as a child, progressing to California State University, Long Beach, while Karen Carpenter learned the drums.
