The D.O.C was in a car accident that shredded his vocal chords, so not much was heard from him after that. He does have some cameo's on other artists songs, but his voice is super scratchy. Damn shame cause he was one of my favorites.

Ahhh man hate that for him

@@StaxReactshowever, D.O.C. has contributed to most Death row classic albums by ghostwriting and offering cadence advice to snoop etc. From The Chronic, Doggystyle, Chronic 2001 and so fourth.

He did alot of ghost writing for. Eazy & Dr Dre while with Ruthless & Death Row. Didn't get alot of credit or royalties from that due to lousy contracts.

I used to blast this tape when I was cruising in my car! (Yes, I said tape!) I used to rap along to these tracks back in the day. It genuinely made me sad when I heard about D.O.C's accident that destroyed his voice. He had the potential to be the biggest rapper in the game at the time. Great stuff as always! Keep crushing it!

The D.O.C did ghost writing for NWA and then Dre and maybe Snoop when NWA split. He went through the windshield of his car when he fell asleep at the wheel early one morning. He says his vocal cords were ruined when they forced the tubes down his throat in ER...a good song the check out with his current voice is Return of da Livin Dead of the Helter Skelter album, it essentially uses the beat from It's Funky Enough but is still a great song.

He is still writing to this day! In my opinion he’s the biggest “What if” in Hip Hop. This dude was a nasty lyricist. If he had a larger body of work he could very easily “Top 10-15” of all time. He could’ve been on my Mount Rushmore of lyricists, after the originators.
