Michael was so young...only 24 years old when he joined the Doobies...and he already had that voice.. My all-time favorite artist. I highly recommend the song I Just Can't Let Go, that he did as a trio with David Pack and James Ingram. Your ears will be blessed!

Go back to the Doobies roots, Harri. This is Michael McDonald on lead vocals. after Tom Johnston - the Doobies heart and soul - had to rest from exhaustion and drug use, McDonald - their newest member - was there to fill the void adding his great vocals and giving the Doobies a different sound. Please check out China Grove, Listen To The Music, Long Train Running, Dark Eyed Cajun Woman, Rockin' Down The Highway, and Black Water for starters! Love your show and reactions!!

Harri, at 7:18 or so, you were explaining your take on the song and said "maybe he's saying you might think I'm a fool now..." well, they got a song for that, a GREAT Michael McDonald song, "What a Fool Believes", with his lead voice and the boy's beautiful vocals backing him, it's an eargasm for sure. Thank's for your upbeat attitude, appreciation of music in general and for providing a warm and kindly atmosphere for us to camp out and enjoy some great music with you.

Both iterations of the Doob’s, the Tom Johnston years then the Michael McDonald years, are Hall of Fame caliber. They went so far out of their comfort zone with McDonald that it created an entirely separate and unique Doobie Brothers sound...each as authentic as the best of them! Music Royalty!

The Doobie's 50 Year Anniversary had to be postponed due to the pandemic, but congrates to them - 50 years!! Minute by minute by minute, such a catchy line. Its beat reminds me of a second hand ticking away on a clock.... minute by minute.
