"What Have I Done To Deserve This" Song by Dusty Springfield and Pet Shop Boys is really cool, Go West "king of wishful thinking" Howard Jones Songs, "no one is to blame" "things can only get better". Erasure, "Chains of Love" and Breathe "Hands to heaven" B-52's "love shack" is kinda fun.

This song is so freaking underrated. Especially in my generation 😂 born 2002. None of my friends know this song and when I’ve shown it to them they do NOT appreciate it enough😂😭

Their best LP in my opinion is "Quick Step and Side KICK" from 1983. "Love On Your Side" and"Lies" were played to death at that time.Human League were also Brits.Their LP "Dare" came out about the same time as this. I was stationed in Scotland at the time, so I got to hear it before they started playing it here in the states.

I have loved the Thompson twins since I was a young boy and saw them in concert in 1984 and 1985 and met the lead singer in 2017 backstage at a concert.

I know this song is very popular in united states even for the actual generations. My nephews who were born in seattle are 12 years old and know this song, they loooooove it. When i asked how do they know eightees rock music they say: because we often listen to these songs on the radio 😅

Fun reaction! I didn’t like this song when it first came out and I heard it on the radio as a kid. But they played it so often I eventually called Uncle and ended up loving it! I bought the album, loved it, then joined their official fan club! Still the only musical artist fan club I’ve ever joined.

Human League were British mate lol They were on many TV interviews in US/Canada over the years etc Also one of the members Joe grew up in my part of Kent in Dartford, as I'm right between Dartford/Bexleyheath 😁 And only down the road were Mick Jagger/Keith Richards from Rolling Stones, Roger Moore, Kate Bush, Billy Idol....etc I did reply back to your DM on Discord but not heard back yet. Also won't let me comment on Arc Vision Rock Reactions yet!

ah, great song from my youth.. what's fascinating is what happened to them: their last album "Queer" became shockingly unique & my favorite album from them.. if anyone is curious just how different & unique that album is, i'd recommend checking out the songs "Queer" & "The Invisible Man".. the 3rd guy left the group, only later to realize they changed their name & explored VERY different styles of music... thanks for your reaction!

I agree with your analysis on this Anton, and the album it is taken off “Into the Gap” is full of other classics such as Doctor! Doctor!, You Take Me Up, Sister of Mercy and The Gap which were all released from it during 83/84.

Ah, the gorgeous Tom Bailey. He's still in music and lives in France. Alannah is a furniture upcycler, after she and Tom divorced she married the bloke from the KLF(not known in the US I don't think) and Joe, is a psychotherapist in the US(one of his videos came up randomly on here one day)

Someone left a copy of Thompson Twins Greatest Mixes at my apt and I hadn't heard their songs in a bazillion years. Of course I played it and after a bunch of listens fell in love! So did my teenage son and we both still love it. The mixes are even better than the originals. Hold me now was one of them. 💜

I love the Thompson Twins! Great 80s group. They had success with several songs including this one in the mid 80, but then the group fell apart after that if I remember correctly.
