Tyler described this track as a 'gruesome love song with moments that describe in detail what's hard about being in love...love is a scary thing, it's trusting someone with everything that you have and they could decide to crush it at any moment and that's a very uneasy feeling... and so the song and video document some of those emotions and at the end there's a resolution that the thing that I was afraid of for so long was the thing that saved me.' Always just been the 2 of them when performing live with Tyler switching between instruments (piano, bass, ukeleele) and using tracks, this year is the first time they have performed with 4 other band members for their Takeover Tour. Recommend checking out some of their 'live at Fox Theatre' performances of their songs Ride, Holding On to You or Trees, amazing energy live and cool crowd interaction moments in their sets.

To help understand it some, the black on his hands and neck represents “ Blurryface “ that is the side of him that holds his insecurities and depression. The woman being his wife Jenna could be interpreted as her beating Blurryface out 🤔 but I’m sure it can be seen in other ways too
