In Japanese the song is playing on words "say it" and "be gone" as someone died. So she is realising the other person is already gone, but tries to forget this fact. But also knows she needs to accept it, so she begs the other (dead) person to give her clear facts and words that they are indeed gone, so it forces her to not forget and ignore the fact. She asks them to keep behind a memo about meeting tomorrow etc, so she is forced to realise the other person will never again show up for such a meeting.

Oh my god Luke this is my favorite band, you have no idea. Please, please react to more of their songs. Any of them. All of them. If you're wondering wether they have performed songs in anime, yes, a couple actually (and a j-drama too) The anime include a whisker away, dangers of my heart, and frieren. The anime songs are great introduction to the band, but seriously, all of their songs are banger. The band consists of n-buna the composer and Suis the singer. Everyone in Japan who's learning to play guitar have at least covered an n-buna song. He's that famous. He used to be a vocaloid producer like Ayase from YOASOBI and hachi (now Kenshi Yonezu). Lots of great mucisians started as vocaloid producers.

So glad you're reacting to more Yorushika! They are my favorite artist and they aren't really well known in the west. I am SO GLAD that Frieren had an opening with them because its helping a lot more people know how awesome they are. They have really great instrumentals (especially guitar), not to mention a lot of their lyrics are about very real topics or have strong messages. That and Suis's voice is amazing. Can't wait for you to do more!

Awesome choice of Yorushika song!! I'm really happy to hear the impression you had about "sad pop". Like many other comments, another great song from them is "Sping Thief"; the animation is steller, the melody is bright and the lyrics... well it's on another level.

Good next Yorushika song would be "Dakara boku wa ongaku wo yameta" (also known as "That's why I gave up on music") It may be hard to recognize, but Yorushika also made the second Frieren opening (Haru) Also fun fact about Yorushika, there is a bunch of songs by them that together weave a narrative about a love story between a guy named Elma and a girl named Amy, while maintaining this form of songwriting all the way through. If you take your time to closely look at everything, it would make anyone feel a lot of emotions. Huge recommendation there, but would alos be a bit of a big commitment, as far as songs are concerned

7:30 Man, you're not the only one. I'm crying again. I heard this song first time during very difficult time in my life. I started struggling from mental health issues and I tried to hide them from my family because I didn't want to worry them. The message of speaking up to people you care about is really powerful. Nowadays I can't help but look past at teenage-me and ask: "Why did you waste a year in your life by not speaking up? Why didn't you tell anyone sooner?" If you, who read this, have struggles with mental health, please talk with someone. The worst thing is to bottle it all up.

I've come to love Yorushika's music, they have a plethora of bitter sweet songs that are all amazing, and get more amazing the more you look into it. Though a lot of times I feel it's better not to fully know what they're about, and just enjoy the composition.
@chrono2x3 ай бұрын
You saying that there is a sadness to this is very true. I always interpreted this song as about a person who's lover has died and she is shouting out that she just wants more time with them. Lines like あのね、私実はわかってるのもう君が逝ったこと (You see, I actually know that you're gone), asking for more with the repeated もっと (more), and the line that you mentioned about them not being there for her last day of life, because they already are gone.

from what i know, this song is one of the continuation to "amy and elma", the two person thats always in their songs. nautilus is the song that showed amy commited suicide thus this song is hinted to talk about that incident.

Yorushika have an ongoing story in a lot of their song (not sure if this still goes on until now). I don't fully remember it, but here I'll do my best for those interested: The story is about a depressed musician who teaches a girl about music. They become close throughout their time together and enjoy their pursuit of music with each other's support. They slowly fall in love or at least the guy does. Eventually he decides to go to the city to look for success, but things don't go like he hoped. His struggle leads him into a downward spiral of depression. Not having the girl's support as he used to before he left, makes it that much worse. He still exchanges letters with the girl, keeping the reality of his struggles out of them at first, but eventually starts to write to her as he goes on a kind of "farewell trip", looking to do "you know what" (youtube filter). She tries to follow and chase him down but is too late. This song is from her perspective, lamenting how he didn't try to (or couldn't) communicate his pain and reach out to her. Hence the theme of unsaid things and fleeting moments.

The song is about the writers best friend who comitted suicide by jumping, hence why the character in the video is hanging around a bunch of high up places and running up and down stairs to get to higher ground. Shes writing from the perspective of knowing that the friend was suicidal but he/she should have "said it" more clearly so the writer would have helped more. Its somehow like the writer is putting the blame on the person comitting suicide for not being clear enough instead of acknowleging that the writer was too passive about taking action themselves. Not a happy song ^^ As for a future recommendation: ive tried to get you to react to "ikari wo kureyo" by glim spanky for 2 years now, please give it a listen she has a voice like nothing youve ever heard before!

Well hello, Luke! I love so much your videos. Thank you for always giving us so much energy with your reactions. ✨ I come to recommend something to you that although it is not an anime, is a kind of series told through several MVs. ALIEN STAGE by VIVINOS: It's about a world of aliens and monsters that colonized humans. These monsters buy them and take them to a singing contest where they compete among themselves for a higher score depending on the performance they present, but there is a plot twist. Each video has a different musical theme where different styles of music are represented. The animation is tremendous and the lore is quite intense. If you are interested in seeing that story, then I wish you the best of luck. ✨ You can find the videos on the VIVINOS KZbin channel, and if I had to give you an order to watch the videos chronologically, it would be like this: ALIEN STAGE, ROUND 1, ROUND 2, ROUND 3, ROUND 5, TOP 3, MIZISUA, All-in and ROUND 6. Round 6 came out recently and the story is still airing, so we will have more lore in the future. ✨
