This song is about being on tour/on the road in the rock band. Never sleeping, drinking, working hard but playing hard, and he is comparing it to a cowboy as a metaphor. The loner part is definitely right. That's part of the comparison. Great reaction!

Hey Jo Jo, great reaction! Bon Jovi was a great 80’s rock hair band! Jon Bon Jovi singing and Richie Zambora on lead guitar and back up vocals. Both excellent! This song is about life on the road “I’m a cowboy (loner) “on a steel horse I ride” (buses then planes) “I’ve seen a million faces and I’ve ROCKED them all” (they did, too) They don’t block too much, so you gotta check them out live!! “Livin on a prayer” and “Blaze of Glory” and there is more suggestions below!! I came to your channel as a Dimash Dear but had to watch your reaction to this as I've been a die hard Bon Jovi fan for almost 30 years. I've travelled all over Europe to see them live, first time in 1995, last time in 2019. Bon Jovi is a rock band from New Jersey, their third album Slippery When Wet made them world famous in 1986. The lead singer Jon Bon Jovi's last name is Bongiovi so they changed it to Bon Jovi. And yes, you should have watched the video, it's epic. It also gives you a better understanding of the lyrics, it's about life on stage and the life of touring the world as a rock star. What I like most about Wanted is Richie's guitar and Richie's backing vocals (Richie Sambora). Sadly Jon's voice is no longer what it used to be, it makes me sad to hear him sing now but I've had the pleasure of seeing Richie Sambora live (solo) a few times and he still sounds amazing. Just have to say, standing in a stadium with 40000 people or in Hyde Park in London with 93000 people, everybody singing Wanted Dead Or Alive together with Bon Jovi is an experience you don't forget. I think maybe this video of "Livin' On A Prayer" live from London in 1995 can give you some feel of what it was like to attende a Bon Jovi concert: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3m0k399fJ2GqJo

Bon Jovi is an early rock/metal band. The lead, Jon Bon Jovi, is a legend. And not just musically. He owns a chain of restaurants where homeless/unemployed folks can come in and have a full meal no problem and just put in a little work to pay their tab. Like, get a full course lunch, put in like 20 minutes washing dishes or something, and call it square. People get fed, and they leave feeling a sense of pride and dignity because it wasn't some "charity handout." They earned it. For a lot of people who are in a bad way financially that can be a huge difference maker and give them the confidence and motivation they needed to get back out there, get back on their feet, and not just "get a job" but chase their dreams.

His steel horse was the tour bus. Their stage performance was insane. He bungee jumped up and down through the audience. I was there.

Funny you should say they "have no home". One of the band's mottos was "We live nowhere ... we play EVERYWHERE!" You should check out their video from the Moscow Peace Festival ... song "Lay Your Hands On Me". They are a GREAT stadium band!

This song is really about the reality of being a rock star on tour. Wanted dead or alive is everyone wants a piece of you. The steel horse is the tour bus. loaded six string is his guitar. They are 100 o/o rock

Bon Jovi, at the time was a rock band. Years later they transitioned into country music. Even in this song, you could hear some of the influence of change. Bon Jovi did the soundtrack album for Young Guns 2, a western movie about Billie the Kid. A touch of country and bluegrass added to his already epic sound gave him a series of #1 hits from the album and influenced the direction the band would eventually make into country music. People from all genres transition to rock, but this is a rare instance where the opposite is true. He is also one of the rare talents that can play a 12 string guitar at an iconic level.

I loved watching you enjoy bon jovi. They are my favorite band. They made that song for the movie young guns. So it was from the cowboy perspective but yet in some way or another aren't we all cowboys. Lol.

It's always nice seeing a new generation discovering old classics! If you liked this one, try Cinderella's - Bad Seamstress Blues, Fallin' Apart At The Seams. I think you would enjoy that one as well.
