10/10 rap song right here. All elements worked so well. Jealous of you reactors on KZbin that get to hear these classics all at once for the first time. Many of us were middle school/high school when these came out. Wish today’s youth got music like this. I know music change but seems like the skill of MC’ing has devolved and it’s a shame.

This was also the time that Nate Dogg blew up more mainstream. He was doing a lot of the chorus to songs around this time. He dropped Music and Me album around this time which was nice after being the hook guy to many songs.

Sometimes those lyric sites get it fucked up. Most Def said "Now I'm gettin' it and there whole grill is crooked" meaning face scrunched up looking mad cuz they hated but he still made it. And the other part "Pour your pride over rocks and just swallow it all" is a liquor reference. When you get your drink with ice cubes you say "over rocks" cuz you pour the drink over the ice cubes. Also why they call diamonds ice because they look like ice cubes (sort of, lol)

"On the rocks" just means on ice. It's a term used in bars and such. For example, a "whiskey on the rocks" means whiskey with ice. He's gonna make them swallow their pride like a bar drink
