@@BongEyedBastard RATM opened up for ST during their tour in Germany way back in gods knows how many years ago. I heard that ST's "You'll do what I tell ya" a few years later, was a diss-track from ST against RATM. Apparently they learned during their tour with them that RATM ain't really that Suicidal. ;-)

@@markbrown7968 But I mean in order to be part of the big 4 you needed to be strictly a trash band, while I love suicidal, it's more of crossover/punk and doesn't have the exact same fanbase.

Yep, same here man. I grew up in the 80's and was fortunate enough to enjoy their debut album when it was released. Had it on vinyl. I would always come back to that album periodically, but when I was 13 and through until about 16 I had some real self destructive thoughts that I battled. The song institutionalized, and suicidal failure helped me through it in their own wierd ways. The one that really helped though, was how will I laugh tomorrow. 'Problems never solved just rearranged' really resonated and helped me underdstand that there are always going to be problems and to not dwell on the problem right now as tomorrow will be a new problem.

Here is the link to that gig. Of course Vevo has the rights to it, so is no longer in KZbin(the whole uncut original video) but here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gqeVoGSLbpinaNU I was 30 years younger, and we get to see them live at Irvine CA Orange County. Yes they were genuinely banned from playing within the city limits of LA for a decade. A fight between gangs broke out at their show and they got the blame.

They were way before Rage. They're from the 80s. They were one of the first to blend punk and metal to form thrash. Chili Peppers wanted to be them and tried ripping them off. Anthrax was East coast and Suicidal was West coast.

Yes they were banned from playing in LA for about 10 years. This song was mid 80's. Institutionalized is pretty much story telling set to a funky punk beat. How Will I Laugh is pure singing. ST mixes up their sound a lot. Usually heavy influence from whoever is playing in the band at the time. The singer, Mike Muir, is the only constant
