It's fascinating to consider the significant impact that Chinese culture had on the world during ancient dynasties, and how people in the West were fascinated by Chinese porcelain, paper, silk, and other goods thousands of years ago. Witnessing China's resurgence after the invasions by Western powers and Japan in recent decades, despite all the negative portrayals in Western media, is quite interesting. The world is constantly changing, indeed.

quick info about Beijing South Terminal: 2rd floor: departure hall 1st floor(ground floor): platforms & tracks -1st floor: arrival hall & subway concourse -2nd floor: subway platform this is the structure of a typical chinese railway terminal. usually when you take the subway in, you're at the arrival hall. you have to walk to the end of the terminal and take the escalator(at 2:06) up to the departure hall for the trains. good news is Beijing S does allow you to enter the platform from the arrival hall directly in case you are in a hurry, like you guys did.

2:47 You know what, the Beijing south railway station is very confusing for me as a Chinese as well. Of course now I’m very familiar with it, but that’s because I have been there for so many many times (I could say, more than a hundred times). It was not until my tenth time of being there that finally figured out the structure of the station and how to navigate in it. Before that, every time I got out of the subway and entered the station, I had to spend like 30 seconds to read the signs and find out where I should go. It is so big and multi-floor. There are at least 3 floors. The basement floor, the ground floor(where the trains and tracks are), and the waiting floor. So after you get out of the subway, you enter the basement floor. You have to go through a security check and go up two floors.

Chengdu, one of the few most famous mega cities in China, with the historical claim of “The Land of Heaven” in Chinese history, is the place to see the lovely panda. Going there you can see so many impressive Chinese cultures and amazing traditional life styles (the world renowned number one Chinese food - Sichuan food 🍲 already worth the trip). I guarantee that you will never forget what you see and feel after visiting that wonderful place in China🥰

When you were in Beijing, you should have also visited the Haidian district where a lot of Chinese tech giants are headquartered and are also home to some Top Chinese universities. Maybe it will be interesting to some people.

It makes sense when the commute takes only about half an hour and the train fare isn't expensive at all

You have been wandering around the first underground floor of the arrivals area of the train station. The departure area and waiting room are on the second floor. Fortunately this station allows access to the platform from the exit, but not all stations allow this. Therefore, please arrive at least an hour in advance when taking a train at an unfamiliar station.

cool, you went to my hometown. You need to try some typical Tianjin style breakfast. there are 74 pairs of trains running between Tianjin and Beijing every day. There are two giant pandas in Tianjin zoo. you should go there to see them. Trust me, they are beautiful.

Another place you can see happy pandas and the only panda triplets in the world is in GuangZhou Changlong Zoo( Chimelong Safari Park, GuangZhou ,China) , the pandas there are very happy and you can watch them in front of you without glass windows, they are just so cute and amazing when you look at them, they will watch you and sometimes interact with you if they like you, haha, so funny! The park also have other funny animals such as the White Tiger Jumping Water show, and the human-like Bears are real. Go there during weekdays not weekend, cause there are so many people during weekend and holidays!

@@sunkissedbucketlist The foods in Chengdu and Chongqing are super super spicy no joke, each time you go to order some food make sure you tell them you want food that is not spicy(不辣) or mild(微辣) by showing the Chinese writing on the phone or a piece of paper.
