Patsy was considered to be 'Queen Of Country Music', and our 'Queen Of Jazz' stays pretty much 'spot on' with the original, but always adding her jazz roots to it. The only other jazz singer who could match something on Angelina's level is the great Billie Holiday.........but no one else, you can be sure of that !

This is such an awesome reaction and wonderful comments Britt. Angie has done this song a few times since she was 11. Even last year in 2022 in her July concerts and so on. They're so beautiful each one and yet different as per her calling card, not singing a song the same way twice. Angie is so timeless, classy and elegant. Me too Robert, I love every one of her versions of this classic Patsy Cline Masterpiece, but until I heard this TikTok version I thought Patsy still owned the Gold standard. But at least the portion of the song she sang in this, she owns the "New" Gold Standard, IMO. She needs to revisit this Classic on a future album, I can only hope.

OMG Angelina just did a live today. It's her grandma's birthday and the alarms started going off in the studio you have to check it out. Great reaction, Britt. I was there when you reacted to the original by Patsy Cline, so I was excited to see THIS reaction as well. Patsy died way too young in a plane crash but I am very sure that she smiles from above. And I totally agree with you in your remark about Angelina and the kind of music and genres that she covers. She has covered songs spaning 9 genres so far, from jazz to EDM. I think it's fair to say that she's got all bases covered 😉 Love from Norway❤❤

Her versatility is incredible. I can't imagine there has been any other singer with such genre range. Here's one she hasn't really done yet - classic rock. Wonder what she would do with one of the most iconic in that genre - Stairway to Heaven? It fits a lot of her lyrical leanings, reminiscent of Million Miles. I suspect she would kill it just like she does everything else she touches.

Angelinas principle formal music training has been instrumental not vocal. Her skills have been learned by singing the greats from an early age. I have always thought Her runs were quite instrumental in form. She has studied flute violin guitar and piano.

Crazy: Patsy Cline was interviewed about the song Crazy, and she stated that in the early 60s her career was going nowhere, and she was about to have her refrigerator repossessed when she heard that a song Willie Nelson gave her was going viral on all the country station. The song was CRAZY, and that song catapulted her to fame, as it did for Nelson. Patsy Cline's version of "Crazy" was great, but Angelina's version is over the moon, as always. AJ is the ultimate STORYTELLING vocalist of all time. If a complete version of Crazy by AJ was played on country stations, it would be number one. This proves my point that AJ can be number one in all genres, not just jazz.
