the feather is one of the offerings hanzo uses at the start of the cinematic for genji when he comes to mourn him, so the feather appearing again at the end means that genji has taken it to show his brother that he has accepted his offering and forgiven him for what he has done

The Bastion cinematic was praised by a lot of Veteran organizations, as a very realistic way of depicting PTSD. And it's done without a single line of dialogue. Soldiers coming back home from war, and suddenly a sharp noise (such as the woodpecker) triggers their reflexes. If you hear gunfire in a serious situation, you duck down or you are an open target, you seek cover and you retaliate.

Widowmaker's backstory is actually so damn sad and tragic. in her former life, Widowmaker was married to Gérard Lacroix, an Overwatch agent spearheading operations against the Talon terrorist organization. After several unsuccessful attempts to eliminate Gérard, Talon decided to change its focus to his wife, Amélie. Talon operatives kidnapped her and subjected her to an intense program of neural reconditioning. They broke her will, suppressed her personality, and reprogrammed her as a sleeper agent. She was eventually found by Overwatch agents, apparently none the worse for wear, and returned to her normal life. Two weeks later she killed Gérard in his sleep. Her mission complete, Amélie returned to Talon, and they completed the process of turning her into a living weapon. Edit: This is why Ana could not kill her. She knew who she had been.

What it also brought was new, stronger enemies and threats that was overwhelming them, not to mention a few other things Jack (Solider 76) mentions, and public opinion turned drastically on them. That's kind of what falling asleep is like, it's not always exact memories, is a mix of how events happened but with faces that may or may not have been there. Sometimes it's nonsense with one very realistic image thrown in that you can't forget. What's really amazing the the accurate portrayal of a service animal. The bird shows him something real and gets him to focus on what is happening now, not in the past and breaks him out of the flashback/hallucination

@@quezmiz736 I mean, in the animation alone, we see a fatally wounded Balderich take down countless B73 Units (Similar to the Bastion E54 Unit we play, but they lack the repair arm and instead have a second recon gun) and a handful of OR14 Units, which were shown capable of easily taking down a single Crusader. It is notable that Reinhardt is one of if not the ONLY surviving Crusader, meaning most of them were killed in the battle. Reinhardt of course survived as he was able to stall for time for the invading omnics to be struck by a bombing run from the air, likely once the fight became unsalvageable, which is why Eichenwald is still abandoned iirc. So, if a Bastion Unit alone can shred a Crusader's shield with relative ease, we can assume Balderich's suit is stronger than the average Crusader, which makes sense, as he led them. Despite their seemingly poorly weighted nature, a wounded Balderich is shown effortlessly wielding two Rocket Hammers at his last stand, capable of even throwing them with enough velocity to completely crush an OR14, which, notably, could completely negate the Charge of a Crusader while only being pushed back a few meters at most. So, against countless Omnics, along with a new variant (this was the first reveal of the OR14s in the lore, as one of the Crusaders straight up says "What is that" when we first see it in the animation), Balderich killed countless B73 Bastion Units and multiple OR14s, one alone having been capable of killing Reinhardt if it wasn't for his intervention. Balderich was quite literally built different. Considering Talon and their associates are usually behind the evil actions in this world, we can make a few guesses to what exactly they wanted. Most of Doomfist's body has been mechanically and biotically enhanced, which in lore, has resulted in him being effectively a living and indomitable weapon. Moira, who works with Talon, has notably done many experiments on the human body, modifying them to even grotesque states that can no longer be considered fully human (Reaper). Widowmaker was brainwashed and has been genetically modified as well, her heartbeat slowed and a few other things, which is also why her skin is blue. Null Sector is working with Talon, and as they're an Omnic renegade cell, it makes sense that they would have some grudges against Balderich. It's very likely that Talon or another evil faction wants to take his corpse, which has likely been decently preserved in his armor, as well as his armor itself, to study and apply whatever made Balderich so strong to their current force.

1:19:14 The Horizon Lunar Colony WAS a map in OW1 specifically a 2 Capture Points map or a 2CP map but OW2 got rid of all the 2CP maps in all modes but one, called Assault in arcade. Another 2CP map was Hanamura(Genji and Hanzo short), Volskya Industries(Sombra short) and Temple of Anubis which we see a tiny bit of in the Ana origin. Seeing them again in these older vids makes me miss those maps even though they were a pain in the ass lol Also that short with Tracer talking about her first mission fighting Null Sector was a PVE special event that they released in OW1 and was only available during certain times of the year.

They see a need in the world and are determined to help fix it regardless of the consequences both good or bad. Thanks are nice but its not why they do it. The "thingy" that Tracer has quite literally keeps her in time - you see when she was just a normal agent with no superpowers, she was selected to test an experimental teleporting jet, but something went wrong and the jet along with Tracer disappeared. She appeared again few months later but she was - literally - scattered across space and time. She kept blinking in and out of existence, existing in the past, present and future at once. Existing but not existing at the same time - that was until Winston developed the thing she has - it allows her to stay in one time, while also allowing her to speed up time for herself (allows her to teleport short distances) or even reverse time.

E-54, or Bastion, is a "Bastion unit" built during the Omni crisis. A weapon built to kill, built in a "omnium" a omnic factory that got controlled and built machine like Orisa and Bastion. His reaction to gunfire triggers his "program" to transform to sentry mode as a defense.

Also, Overwatch 2 will be receiving a PvE story mode next year! It was supposed to come out sooner, but with Covid and all of the Blizzard controversy, the game was heavily delayed. Overwatch 2 is technically still in Early Access right now, as the majority of the game (PvE) still has yet to be released. It's gonna be a full-on story campaign with cutscenes and bosses. Another part of PvE they have shown off are Hero Missions, which are highly repayable co-op missions against AI where you can level the characters up and unlock insane abilities you wouldn't be able to do in matches against other players. It looks so fun, and 2023 can't come sooner :)

The feather is a Sparrow feather. Genji was always known as “The Sparrow” in the clan, so Hanzo uses that to honor him with his incense offerings. Genji was saved by Mercy after he was almost completely destroyed. And that was when he joined overwatch. Sorry, I’m a huge Genji fan. Not as much as I am a fan of Bastion, but still a huge fan lol.

Va/Hana Song), and the US had a super soldier program (Soldier: 76/Jack Morrison & Reaper/Gabriel Reyes) The UN formed an elite group with members from the defenses from all around the world, called Overwatch. And as for Reyes, when Morrison was appointed leader instead of him, he was put in charge of a black-ops organization within Overwatch, called Blackwatch. When Overwatch faced the controversy, Reyes turned against it, and later joined Talon, hunting down previous Overwatch agents. Widow maker is also in Talon, but that happened before the controversy. Amelie (Widowmaker) was the wife of Gerard, a general for Overwatch. Talon, in order to kill Gerard, kidnapped Amelie, slowed her heartbeat (hence her skin color), and brainwashed her into being a sleeper agent. She was later found by Overwatch, and she killed Gerard in his sleep. She returned to Talon and they finished brainwashing & training her. 52:03 Genji was left on the brink of death, but Mercy found him and saved him. If I’m not mistaken, this is a gamemode that’s available annually for like 2 weeks each time, though I don’t remember when it is.

Not all characters in the game were part of the Overwatch organization. There is a lot of lore in the Overwatch universe so all characters are in some way linked to the omic crisis or Overwatch, but they're not all on the same team. Some used to be and switched sides, others were against Overwatch from the beginning
