Garth Brooks retired but after a few years off decided to come back. Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees retired after the passing of his brothers but his wife saw he wasn't happy and told him "you're happier on the stage". So with backups to fill the void he's touring

The man with the high tenor you asked about is Vince Gill and the last woman was Faith Hill. A deeeeeep dive into Vince should start with a song he wrote in about his older brother who had died. He wrote it to help express his love and loss. It has become a song that a lot of us that are asked to sing for friends at times of lost sing from time to time. Either the Vevo or the Carnegie Hall one is the best one by far. A lot of folks request for folks to react to the upload from George Jones funeral but...... Vince has a hard time holding it together. For the best by far of Go Rest High On That Mountain uploads the Vevo upload will put you right up there next to heaven.

Vince Gill is very worth a reaction. "Go Rest High On That Mountain" is a great suggestion. I'd add the following titles: "Pretty Little Adriana" "One More Last Chance" "Oklahoma Borderline" Your comment about so many songs to remember reminds me of hearing Tanya Tucker saying one time that she has recorded so many albums that she does not even have a copy of all of her songs. She is another artist that I'd suggest reacting to: "Lizzie and the Rainman" "The Man That Turned My Mama On" "What's Your Mama's Name" "Two Sparrows In A Hurricane"

Love this. My dad was a city boy. Born and raise in Chicago. I was born in Pittsburgh. When I graduated college, my parents moved to WA state and bought 25 acres. It took a few years for my dad to slow down to “one horse power” but he did. We lost him 2 years back. I can visualize him in your story. Thank you.

@@don-o-seven1437 you're welcome. My dad was a cowboy on ranches and rodeo in his younger years and he stayed one through decades of being a trucker and retirement. He got a second wind and rode his horse for the last time 2 weeks before he died.

I’m ok with a couple dancers if it’s to tell a story or something but the whole one singer 50 dancers is mind boggling stupid. Got a big stage have to fill it for some reason. You can do so many cool things with the video walls etc now that you can do a really cool show that is purely to showcase the actual talent on stage.

Wonderful reaction, Miss Britt! The thing about George Strait is that his music style never changed, so he's been at his peak for 42 years. It's a tremendous thing. You can be a new listener to his music and hear just about any song and not be able to tell, with certainty, if it was released in 1981 or 2020.

"The Cowboy Rides Away Tour" on June 7, 2014 in Arlington, Texas. 104,793 people were in attendance, the largest ever single-show attendance at a U.S. stadium. Thought I would send you that. Some folks were criticized George that he did not disappear. He got off of the grind of being on the road all of the time and spent a lot more time on the ranch pursuing his cowboy interests and family. He still does some concerts and some recording but on a LOT lower degree. He has had something like 60 number one hits in his career. George is 70.

I have been listening to George since his break out song "Unwound" in 1981. I will say that I have enjoyed every song, every performance I've seen and both of the concerts I was lucky enough to attend. With as many songs as I have heard him sing, I get content with the idea that whatever he brings will be great because he is George Strait. But every now and then I stop to just listen to him, like really listen, and damn that boy can sing. He is called King George for a reason. To see this last show and this last performance is heart wrenching, but I have almost all of his albums and can enjoy him for years to come. That was "The Cowboy Rides Away" tour. It was 2 years long and started in Lubbock, Texas(I was there) and ended at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas and I was at that one too crying like a baby when he sang this song, "The Cowboy Rides Away". I have seen him in concert 28 times. I won tickets to one by getting lucky and being the number caller that the DJ had said, but I had to sing and gargle a line from one of George Strait's songs. I did a line from "The Chair" and won 2 tickets front row center stage. It was awesome. All of them were. I'm retired now and his tickets have gotten so expensive, that concert at At&T Stadium was my last, but he will always be number 1 in my books. He still does concerts, but he is not touring anymore. As for his age, I think he is 70 or 71 now.

I grew up in S Texas and when I was in my teens, my brother and his friends would go to dance halls and they'd sneak me in a side door ( I was way too young to be there btw) but I got to see George Strait in his early career when he still hit the small dance halls around his home town which was down the road near mine. Later on, I used to see him when I moved to San Antonio as he lived in down the road then, too. He would come eat at Mexican restaurants with his wife. No one would bother them. They respected him too much. He'd see someone staring sometimes and he'd go over and say hello or call them over. A consummate gentleman. We love our George Strait. BTW, the song, "The Chair" I danced to, many, many times and sang the lyrics into some pretty girl's ear as we scooted across the floor, still dancing when the music stopped...

2 countries singers I really like are George Strait and Randy Travis. They have a special place in my heart because I've never been much of a country fan.

The second song is one of his earlier songs and he sounds just like what I used to hear on the radio when I was in college. What lovely memories. :)

There’s a DVD of the whole concert. I love it; I recommend it. I think George Strait said that the venue was sold out. The movie Pure Country is also very good.

Though Strait has been semi-retired since 2013-2014 “Cowboy Rides Away” tour, he does still play a handful of live shows from time to time. Strait appeared at this year's Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo with fellow country artist Ashley McBryde on March 20 at NRG Stadium, an event which drew in 79,456 fans.Apr 28, 2022

Country music fans are the most loyal music fans. However, you often find a division among them over "traditional" and modern "pop" country. A song entitled "Murder On Music Row", written by Bluegrass artists Larry Cordle and Larry Shell, addresses this topic in award winning fashion. It was Song Of The Year as a Bluegrass number and CMA Song Of The Year as recorded by George Strait and Allan Jackson as a duet. As the old saying goes, "I couldn't have said it better".

🔥🔥🔥Vince Gill is the voice you are wondering about. “Go rest high on that mountain” and many others showcase his voice.

The man with the voice that intrigued you is Vince Gill. Vince is also married to singer Amy Grant and is also a member of The Eagles band. He's a man of many talents!

And the last female singer that got your attention was the beautiful Faith Hill, better half of country-actor Tim Mcgraw (for 26 years and still going strong) whose song "Don't Take the Girl" also got you reacting quite emotionally like most of us.
