salut dereck . As t l as ssi well say interesting song without more. For me something is missing .the lyrics are simplistic and the music is continuous .exelente 2nd song but my favorite remains "juste une mise au point"

@@alex-fy4fe A lot of dance music starts off being played in the gay clubs and then later is picked up by the mainstream .. You Spin Me Round (Like A Record) by Dead Or Alive & Relax by Frankie Goes To Hollywood were two prime examples .. they were knocking around the lower reaches of the national UK charts and played in the gay clubs months before they became mainstream .. other similar songs are Boys by Sabrina, Call Me by Spagna and Brother Louie by Modern Talking

What very good memories of my childhood and primary school with this song by Jakie Quartz which signs its big comeback with a brand new album but also a new very 80's hairstyle look. Whatever the haters, the gossips say, I love this very "catchy" song with its rhythm box and vintage synths. If you don't, go listen to your granny grandpa sounds, it will be better! ;-) I would have liked to be in place of some children who were around my age, they were very lucky to participate in this videoclip. To say that 2 years later, this song had a "second life" thanks to the English producer Pete Waterman (member Stock/Aitken/Waterman) who worked with Dead Or Alive, Bananarama, Rick Astley, Donna summer,Kylie Minogue too and who entrusted the remix version entitled "In The Cannes Mix" by Pete Hammond (who also remixed the two titles of Desireless in 1988 and also those of Debut De Soirée which had a lot of success in UK) which is also excellent even if I prefer the French 12" version much better (6'42) and you would appreciate this longer version more "punchy" (long intro and more accentuated drums) even more Dereck ideal for a Workout session! 😉😁

With them at least there are other songs and artists that we hear but also the "follow ups" like this much more pleasant than the titles that we are constantly harping on to get people's heads drunk.

This song "A La Vie, A L'Amour" (To Life, To Love) was released in the summer of 1987 as the first single from her fourth album "Emotion Au Pluriel" (Emotion In The Plural), ranked no.30 in the TOP 50 and sold 75,000 copies. The maxi version of the title (much better still at the limit of Hi-NRG) is a real success in the discotheques and even becomes one of the best broadcasts of the year. 12" version (audio): kzbin.info/www/bejne/hWKYnpR7ibRrrbc The clip is directed by François Hanss (then assistant director of Laurent Boutonnat on the videoclips of Mylène Farmer) with the appearance of a feature film. We see a new Jakie Quartz with shorter hair and platinum blonde in a mystical figure who accompanies young children dressed in rags evolving in snowy landscapes as well as a devastated world where nothing seems to live there. The female singer has very good memories with the very serious and concentrated children, despite the hours of waiting and the rain. What you forgot to say is that this title even made an appearance in the English charts (No. 55) at the beginning of 1989 (two years later), in a slightly remixed version thanks to the English producer Pete Waterman (known for Kylie Minogue and Rick Astley and who was in France in Cannes at that time) and signed it under his PWL CONTINENTAL label. The long version is entrusted to Pete Hammond and entitled "In The Cannes Mix" and the 45 rpm has a new cover, with a black and white photo showing Jakie sitting on a sofa.
