Nice Reaction! Lzzy was gifted a guitar early in her career by the guitar player in Shinedown. He told her to to keep the guitar and pay it forward whenever she saw a young guitar player that inspired her to get back to playing guitar more. That lucky young guitar player was Dani of The Warning. Lzzy saw a video of The Warning, brought them out on tour with Halestorm and saw how good Dani is on guitar and gifted her the white Gibson Explorer that Dani plays on few songs at their shows now and told Dani to pay it forward some day. After their first album came out (2010) Halestorm played a small venue in Philly and recorded it for a DVD and the song I'm Not An Angel is awesome. "Halestorm Live in Philly I'm Not An Angel"

If you liked this one, check out "I Miss the Misery". On a softer side, her singing "Song of Women" with The Hu or a duet with Amy Lee from Evanescence doing a song called "Break In" are must sees!

This song is the origin of the band name of LOVEBITES (that you've reacted to last month - "Swan Song"). I can't say, how much I enjoy Lzzy Hale doing this badass singing...

Lzzy Hale is Dany from The Warning's idol. Lzzy took The Warning on tour in 2022 and gifted Dany a custom made Gibson Explorer, because she thinks that Dany is a phenomenal guitarist and she re-inspired her! Now, both Halestorm and The Warning bands and crews are close friends. It's a beautiful thing! 🤘

Floor Jansen has called Lzzy one of the singers that impresses her the most. Lzzy can sing clean or that wonderfully gritty scream for a full 2 hour set. Lzzy was also named an ambassador for Gibson Guitars, the first female so named. On a personal level, she has a heart of gold. Truly one of the kindest human beings in the rock scene. Always lifting people up. I recommend the music for "Terrible Things" feat. Ashley McBryde. Shows a gentler side, and it's all heart. Live, check out "Wicked Ways", live from Colorado Springs. Shows her crowd interaction. And yes, they are this tight live.

Halestorm is awesome live, seen them a couple times. Lzzy and her little brother, drummer AreJay, started the band in '97 when they were 13 and 10. Their dad Roger played bass in the early days. Lead guitarist Joe Hottinger and bassist Josh Smith joined in 2003 and 2004. They are tight, they actually like each other, and hang out offstage. Elizabeth , shortened to Lizzy until an early super fan, who was also a huge Ozzy fan, started stylizing her name as "LZZY" ,and it stuck. 5 full albums and a bunch of EP's, including 3 of just covers. This song won the Grammy. You reacted to the Japanese band LOVEBITES, this is the song that band is named after. Asami joined Halestorm at 2019 Download for this song. More to check out: I Miss the Misery, I Am the Fire, Back From the Dead, and the duet of "Break In" with Amy Lee of Evanescence.

Lzzy preformed with Eric Church at the CMAs in 2014. They play “that’s damn rock n roll”, it got a country sound but it really showcases Lzzy’s vocals.

Great choice of a first watch from Halestorm, possibly their most popular song! Yeah Lzzy is badass, but has a softer side - I miss the misery is a great follow up, but for her softer side you would have to discover another band, The Hu - a song called Song of Women, it’s a great collaboration, you’ll see what I mean! Interesting fact, early in their career Lzzy was gifted a guitar from the guitarist of Shinedown and was told when she finds a guitarist who inspired her to pay it forward - this happened when they took The Warning with them to tour North America, near to the end of the tour Lzzy presented Dany their guitarist with the white Gibson Explorer that was specially made for her, she plays it regularly for some of her songs. Nice reaction and breakdown as always, very enjoyable! 🌹

This is the song that the band Lovebites took their name from and Asami went on stage and sang with Lizzy Hale as well toured with.

She has unbelievable control of her voice. The drummer is her brother by the way. As far as other songs, you really can’t go wrong with anything I can think of. I would recommend maybe apocalyptic, Amen, Do Not Disturb, Here’s To Us, dear daughter. Period. Period, and just about anything else.
@reactionsaccount39559 ай бұрын
The Warning toured with them in 2022, opening the show, so after watching this, you can understand why Lzzy felt that they would fit perfectly and felt such a connection with Dany. Lots of people will recommend I Miss The Misery, but my favorite is the official video for I Am The Fire, the vocals are pure insanity in that one.

Great choice Koality.. Lizzy is a BOSS. lots of songs for you to check out.. Fun Fact. The all female heavy metal band that you reacted to recently called Lovebites took its name from this HALESTORM track and Asami the Lovebites singer has repeatedly cited HALESTORM frontwoman Lzzy Hale as a major influence. Asami, actually joined Lizzy and HALESTORM on stage on June 15 2019 at the Download festival at Donington Park in Leicestershire, England to perform the group's Grammy-winning song "Love Bites (So Do I)" There is a very cool video of the performance on the net (can't post the link? keeps removing the comment?) Lizzy, almost 5'7" towers over the tiny Asami at 4'8" she is so pettit, but as you know can blast out some huge sound.. Have a lovely day Best wishes as always from France.

This song won a Grammy Award for them a decade ago and it is a mainstay in the live set. Lzzy is the real deal as is her magnificent band, Halestorm is dope. I am an old hippie, 68, been to many hundreds of concerts but it takes a lot to get me out the last decade or so but I was motivated to see them 3 times since 2016, they were awesome each time. For another great song do I Miss the Misery, it was also from their 2nd album and is another banger as is Freak like Me. For a great live set there are many to choose from but one of my favorites is them at PinkPop 2016, they had a one hour set to strut their stuff and did they ever! The live I Miss the Misery at the end of the set is magnificent, Lzzy kills it on guitar and vocals! Enjoy. 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎹🎶

This kind of Chemistry comes from the fact that the other guitar player, Joe Hottinger, is her significant other (watch him smiling as she sings - that's pride!), and the drummer is her brother! You can't beat that kind of chemistry!! not in a million years. Couple that with INSANE vocals that are unmatched?? Wicked combo for a band.

A great choice of one of their songs to review ! The thing is Halestorm is one of those rock bands who sound much better live than on record,i saw them live in England in 1999 :) Yes i agree with you about their vibes together ,they are a very tight band and seem to have ESP ha! i'm thinking that they could ALL interchange instruments and still sound great !

Love this song and this video it rocks they do it unplugged at this session too which is cool. I Miss The Misery is another awesome song or I Am the Fire. "Rest In Peace (Unplugged)" is possibly the most RUTHLESS 'break-up song' of all time... also, check out "Raise Hell", "What's Coming To Me", "Wicked Ones", and "After Midnight".... And while you're at it, consider some stuff from The Pretty Reckless, too.... "Make Me Wanna Die"... "25"... and "Death By Rock and Roll (Acoustic Version)"... (and if she reminds you of Cindy Lou-Who from "The Grinch", it's because she WAS.)

Can't go wrong with ANY vid from Halestorm, but I'd suggest "Back From The Dead (Official Video) and "Familiar Taste of Poison" - but it's a toss-up between the official vid and the live one on Jimmy Fallon - the official one is killer, but the live one is so damn raw and real (plus, it's great cuz the guest was Selena Gomez, and she gets to sit on the couch and witness a TRUE vocal powerhouse firsthand)... Also, "Break In (featuring Amy Lee)" is absolutely jawdropping. I got to see Halestorm and Evanescence live, and when Amy came out and sang this with Lzzy, the whole place fuckin crumbled.

Okay, I know one word of mine out of twelve is Blackbriar. (Proof is my first line 😂.) But it's a fact that Halestorm influenced many newer bands, especially "female fronted". Including Blackbriar. And Lzzy gave Zora the impulsion to start Blackbriar after she saw a gig of Halestorm (opening for Slash's solo project). So... it's time to recall that Untill Eternity from Blackbriar will still amaze you. Because... Untill Eternity is like Hollywood. But better! 😁

It's a bit of a family affair, with Lzzy's younger brother on drums. Many of their songs have strong feminist messages, with an attitude of 'I'm gonna drink what I want, and have sex with whomever I want, and no one has the power to change me!' I see the connections to the bands LoveBites and The Warning have already been covered.

Weird to hear that they were founded in 1997, I graduated HS in 2007 and the local radio station in York PA would play this band as a "up and coming new band) in 2007+ because they were from the area (Red Lion, PA) now that they are popular I'm oddly satisfied because I felt like I was the only one who heard them.
