"Silver Springs" from "the Dance" concert. Is my favorite Fleetwood Mac performance.

The best version of Rhiannon is from 1976 on the Midnight Special. Stevie was on FIRE 🔥🔥🔥. It truly is the best. She wrote Rhiannon and Dreams what an amazing talent and great singer

We were so lucky to see the whole band together-this included Christine McVie (now has passed). She joined them after 17 years apart. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!

Silver Spring from that concert is a must to do next.

I remember hearing "Silver Spring" on a juke box and thinking, why was this never released - ("Rumors" came out my Sr. year of HS), IMHO one of their best, made even better with that live performance. Saw them on 'The Dance" tour and it was amazing.

This was from the “white album”. Stevie has said this song was to her mom, her dad, her parents, Lindsey. Nothing she writes is linear. She’s very stream of consciousness. A whole lot of stories her.
@TheMike_I10 ай бұрын
The song was written in 1974 before she was famous, she was unsure to continue pursuing a music career with Lindsey or to go home and back to school. This was a reunion concert for them in 1997. The last time those five members played together before that was 1982. Since 1997 things got bad on and off between them again, Fleetwood Mac fired Lindsey around 7 years ago.

when I dropped my daughter at the airport to leave for college in another state, I was so upset I could barely function. This song came on the radio on the drive home. The line "children get older and I am getting older too" and the "I've been afraid of changes because I've built my life around you". Let's just say I went into and uncontrolled, heaving, ugly cry while drive on a major highway. Still shocked I made it home alive. I could not stop or see..... This song always reminds me of the pain of parenting and letting go.

music is amazing how it can touch you, and sometimes you have no idea why. Its usually simply something in your life that a song out of nowhere relates to you at the exact moment.

Love the song and your reaction. I really feel this song lately. Lost my dear mom a year ago, one child just started college and another getting ready to graduate. Just hits close to home. You’re my favorite reactor Tasha! Such genuine feelings in your videos.

I love seeing young people get a Musical education of some of the most beautiful music of all time. I'm jealous to some extent because You can binge or pick and choose, we had to wait for it some times a year or more for new music from a band. I still get emotional to music I've heard hundreds of times.

My favorite Fleetwood Mac songs have been their softest songs, not all of whom made it as hits. Landslide never made the hit charts, but has always been a favorite of fans. Two other songs that never were hits, and aren't as well known as Landslide are Stevie Nicks' Beautiful Child off of the Tusk album, and Chritine McVie's Warm Ways off of the self titled Fleetwood Mac album. Fleetwood Mac makes some of the most beautiful soft music in rock history.

Her father passed away, and that's why it was for him. Both of my parents are gone now, and I miss them. This song brings a tear to my eyes too, Tasha. For a change of pace, and to see Lindsey's incredible talent, from the same concert, watch "Big Love."

It will take a little hunting, as it goes wayyyyyy back...and, technically Fleetwood Mac didn't even exist at the time...but why not start at the beginning, when Peter Green, Mick Fleetwood, and John McVie recorded a blues instrumental they called...Fleetwood Mac...it would be the first time the name was used by the boys...also, there's Danny Kirwan's Dragonfly, from about 1971...🤔

Stevie Nicks was also involved with Don Henley and Joe Walsh of the Eagles. Hotel California was about the recording studio they all used in the Hollywood Hills. She was the woman in the song & cocaine was the beast they keep stabbing. She was also involved with Mick Fleetwood & Tom Petty. Good rabbit hole to go into.

Tasha, I hope you don't take this as patronizing - but you're really sweet. Your kind heart shows through and that's really nice.

At the time this Fleetwood Mac concert was recorded, yes, Stevie and Lindsey had come to an understanding of mutual respect. But that didn't last. Their animosity flared back up, and Fleetwood Mac ended up firing Lindsey from the group.

Love to hear some mid period FM and give Christine some love. Why (Mystery To Me) Buddy's Song, One Together, Tell Me All The Things You Do (Kiln House) Sands Of Time, Show Me A Smile, Future Games (Future Games) Homeward Bound, Spare Me A Little Of Your Love (Bare Trees) Remember Me (Penguin) Heroes Are Hard To Find, Come A Lit Bit Closer (Heroes...) and particularly Man Of The World (Single). Hey , they played together 50 plus years. Even if just a couple make your list it would be a step up from the SOS. Not that I don't enjoy that too.
