First Time Reaction to IVE "Eleven" M/V

DIVE INTO IVE! (their motto). OMG , THANK yall for this. IVE is a brilliant group of young women who are super talented. Ever since their DEBUT, they have become SUPER SUPER popular in South Korea and of course globally. I’d say the two NEWEST girl groups that have taken KPOP MEDIA/ENT/MUSIC by storm right now (inna good way ofc) are NEW JEANS and IVE. IVE is a six-member girl group under the company Starship Entertainment. Yall have not reacted to a group under this company before. But, yeah Starship is not a "big" company like HYBE or YG or JYP as they are a smaller company BUT they do have some notable artists that made bigger names for themselves and IVE is one of them. I’d say in my opinion, IVE is the most popular girl group Starship has ever had as they expand global recognition and do really well on both domestic and GLOBAL charts. STARSHIP has another girl group named WJSN but since IVE, WJSN stans have been afraid for WJSN due to IVE’s quick and sudden rise to popularity and remarkable success. When IVE debuted on December 1st of 2021 with their single album/mv “Eleven” they charted on the top of various charts like billboard for weeks. Also, in South Korea there is this steaming service called “Melon” and it is South Korea's 
largest music subscription service” and is if not the most but one of their most popular music streaming services. IVE rose steadily on Melon and charted at 13 in Melon’s top 100 which for a ROOKIE group is extremely good because in comparison there are so many groups who debut or have been in active for years who have never topped a chart this high or have ever made it to even the top 100. Also, rookie groups are always kind of probationary in a way so to do this good so early on is quite praised. Also, two members of this group, Yujin and Wonyoung, caused more people to be on the lookout for this group as these two girls were already well-known from that project girl group I told yall about before called “IZ*ONE.” IVE’S fandom name btw is “DIVE” which is why they greet with “DIVE INTO IVE” as their fans will enjoy and love them inside&out and will always be with them. It’s like diving into a kpop “rabbit hole” but solely for IVE put it that way. Some of IVE’s awards: Their album “I’ve IVE" won the “Album of the Year Awards” at the Melon Music Awards 2023 (deserved btw because every song on this album EATS). Asia Artist Awards (AAA) 2022 they won “Song of the Year” with their hit bop “Love Dive”, and also won “Rookie of the Year in Music” award . They had a couple other wins too from this award show. In other awards shows for these past two years, many of their awards repeat like getting “Artist of the Year awards, Best Female Group, Song of the Year, Album awards, etc. However, I do want to provide info about the most notable awards they have received which are called “Daesangs.” For example, The MAMA award is a REALLY BIG and major music awards ceremony that happens annually, usually in Japan. They actually just had the MAMAS I believe last month in November 28TH AND 29TH as they take place in November. Anyways, I mention this because this year, IVE HAS WON 3 BACK TO BACK TO BACK DAESANGS for Artist of the Year (IVE), Album of the Year (I’ve IVE), and Song of the Year (I AM). In 2022, they won 2 daesangs for Song of the year (Love Dive) and Artist of the Year (IVE) at the MELON music awards and this year they won an Album of the Year (I’ve IVE) Daesang there. There a few more but just for little background info. Anyways, I say all this to say a DAESANG is one of the hugest and highest achievementa any k-pop group or artist can acheive in South Korea. Daesang honestly just means “Grand Prize” and so winning one represents how well an artist did that year in various achievements. Think of Daesang awards being equivalent to Grammy Awards... if I had to break it down in simpler terms. Now, often at these Asian award shows, there can be a FEW or multiple grand prizes. Grand Prizes usually fall under “Album of the Year,” “Song of the Year,” and/or “Artist of the Year.” Over the years, many groups have received or not received a DAESANG, and even notable groups. For example, one of the biggest shockers is BLACKPINK as a group never winning one for years (until recently) and so BLACKPINK are mocked at by haters because people feel as though in kpop “if you do not get a DAESANG then your success is not valid." So, yea it gets very rowdy with the whole Daesang thing. There is a lot behind it. Anyways, for many award shows, Daesangs are under certain titles, examples: Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) there are 4 DAESANG CATEGORIES: Song of the Year, Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and the NEWEST “ Worldwide Icon of the Year” Golden Disc Awards (GDA) there are 2 DAESANG CATEGORIES: Album of the Year and Digital Song of the Year MMA (Melon Music Awards) there are 4 DAESANG CATEGORIES: Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Seoul Music Awards (SMA) 2 DAESANG CATEGORIES: Album of the year and Digital Music of the Year I just wanted to break all this down as I know you guys are getting into KPOP and I know that stuff like this can be important when looking at charts, numbers, anything QUANTITIVAVE and sometimes symbolic for a group’s success. Also, I know that Mr.Coach is a math head so I figured why not add some strategical and statistical information as well. However, we have to also note that awards ALSO do not define group success either. People love trolling about how BLACKPINK has never received a “DAESANG” but if anything have received much more global noteworthy praise and awards. For example, literally a few weeks ago , idk if yall heard, but BLACKPINK were at BUCKINGHAM PALACE in the UK and awarded with MBE’S by KING Charles III himself. "MBE" stands for “The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire” which rewards the “contributions to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organisations, and public service outside the civil service” in regards to the person or group receving it. The KING also honored and MENTIONED them in a speech in which BLACKPINK attended and it was AMAZING. Yall do not have to react to this or anything but there are videos online about this recent and honorable encounter which yall should check out in your free time if you interested. But yea, no other kpop group has ever received such an award so its stuff like this we have to be aware of. We just need to be praise ALL GROUPS for any success they have in their own ways tbh. Oh and as three of the BLACKPINK members received HONORARY MBES, (as they are considered foreign and so they get a honorary awards for this reason), Rosie is the only member to receive the "FULL HONOR MBE" as she is New Zealand-born. The reason is Rosie got full honor is because New Zealand is amongst the "14 countries that STILL recognize the United Kingdom Monarch" as “Head of State.” Oh and after 7 years, BLACKPINK FINALLY did win their first Daesang as a GROUP at the '2022 Seoul Success Awards.' The only two members who won their own Daesangs are Jennie and Jisoo. JENNIE won a DAESANG at the “2022 Brand of the Year Awards” under “Advertising Model of the Year (female)” category as she is a global brand ambassador for Chanel, Calvin Klein, etc. As forJisoo, she won a DAESANG for the “Female Solo Singer of The Year” award at the 2023 “Brand of the Year Award.” Anyways, I am sorry this video is NOT AT ALL about BLACKPINK though lol. But, I am such a big believer in cross-referencing and so I just wanted to add some MORE in-depth explanations and references just so yall can understand better and of course NEW INFORMATION is being learned which is good for kpop incomers. The members of IVE: Gaeul 3:25 : Oldest member at 21, Dancer, Rapper, Vocalist, Korean Yujin 5:01 : 20 years old, Leader, Vocalist, Dancer, Korean, past member of IZONE Rei 3:07 : 19 years old, Rapper, Vocalist, Japanese Wonyoung 3:03 : 19 years old, Vocalist, Korean, past member of IZONE, IVE’s most popular member Liz 5:19 : 19 years old, Vocalist, Korean Leeseo 2:53 : Maknae at 16 years old, Vocalist, Dancer, Korean BTW, “ELEVEN” was a VERY and still is one of IVE’s most popular songs. The hold ELEVEN had on so many kpop stans generally was immense BUT then they dropped their song “LOVE DIVE” and that was the song that really rose IVE to global stardom. If songs could LITERALLY represented a group, I’d say “LOVE DIVE” perfectly represents IVE’S concept. Wonyoung (the pink dress) is probably the most popular idol on kpop in korea right now alongside with Jennie, and some FYI Wonyoung and Yujin (the girl doing lock hip dance movements) been debuting Twice in total, their previous group called IZ*ONE (pronouns as Eyes One) a 12 member girlgroup also with 2 other members from Le Sserafim was in the group (Sakura and Chaewon) which is a group that created from a survival program called PRODUCE 48 with 2,5 contract group promotion, IZ*ONE was the monster group when they're still promoting, you should check them out with their Debut song La Vien Rose

@@CoachCastTV Sometimes, some of the members of IZ*ONE will meet up on stages at events, or sometimes they will have nothing going on and just go over to each other's houses. They still LOVE each other as if they are still an active group together. There was almost rioting in the streets when the group was disbanded, even though EVERYBODY knew before they were ever formed that they would be only a temporary group. The public LOVED seeing them, all of their material is amazing.

@@CoachCastTV Yeah, it is weird. It has happened before as well. IZ*ONE's contract was only Three years instead of the usual Seven years. Everybody knew that going into the competition to create the group. I think the short time is because the people who get put on the show are from many different companies. No company wants any other company to have an upper hand in any deal between them. It's the Idols who pay the price for this weird corporate stuff going on. But everybody had a contract or they never would have been on the show. Even the fans knew it would be a temp group, that was all explained on camera when the show started.. IZ*ONE turned out to be SO AWESOME, WAY better than what anybody expected of them at what they did! Fans really hoped, prayed and even PETITIONED for the group to go on longer. It's really a unique situation and all these ladies really deserve credit for being as awesome as they are. Not just the twelve who made it to IZ*ONE, either; that show was cool and had some VERY TALENTED people involved, who did not make the cut.

Wonyoung was a contestant on Produce 48, the show that created Iz*One. At the time she was only 14 (19 now) and was 173cm tall - which is tall for an asian woman I believe. Assuming Coach is an eight foot tall giant, that would make Wonyoung a little shorter than Mrs Coach. ...but there's every chance Wonyoung is still growing. Some other notable Idols you're likely to come across, that are considered tall (and obviously stand out) are: Ahn Yujin (IVE) also 173cm, Tzuyu (Chewy) from Twice 172cm , Jeon Somi (Solo artist from YG) 172cm, Doyeon (Weki Meki) 173cm and Aisha (Everglow) 176cm

Blue Blood, Dear cupid(Love Dive promo song but it has MV too), Holy Moly and Classic(japanese EP) are dope too. Starship is not a big named label but has been consistent in delivering quality music. This was one of the coolest debuts I had ever seen. The ladies are amazing singers and dancers, and they have a great rapper as well. I SO HOPE you keep checking out their songs. The Blonde with the dimple is Liz. She recently did a collab with Soyeon (of (G)I-DLE) and Winter (of Aespa). The three ladies did an AWESOME song (of course, because these ladies are just World-Class at what they each do) and Liz truly has a very elegant vibe. :)

I'm not an IVE stan but it's worth noting that back in October, they surpassed Blackpink to become the second best-selling girl group behind Twice. Aside from her beauty, the 5'8" Wonyoung has been praised for her exemplary work ethic which was apparent from the start of her career. Even JYP considers her the best idol he has ever seen. Her numerous brand ambassadorships include Dior, Bvlgari, Chaumet and Pepsi, to name just a few.

Hi Coaches, I can't belive you guys just react to my favorite group, thank you so much, It was such a nice surprise! “IVE” stands for the English words “I HAVE” meaning that the members are all ready to dazzle fans with everything they have, according to an interview They have a very posh and alluring concept. LOVE DIVE, wich is their first comeback, is one of the best kpop songs of all time (based on many ranking videos that I've watch) so I hope you guys could add it to the list, I'm sure you'll love it The girl that catches Mr. Coach's attention is wonyoung 3:01, and many agree she's the ultimate visual of their generation, and saddly till this day she's also one of the most hated kpop idol (really she get a LOT of hate) bc pp say she's a "pick me girl" and some other sh*t that doesn't even make sense, but it is what it is. But if you want to know, then the song "Attention" is their Debut song, after it came "Hype Boy" with a MV for each member but if you can watch the performance video for the whole group. there is also "Cookie", "Hurt". then for their first comeback they came out with "OMG" (the official MV is very cool and unique✨), as well as "Ditto" with a 2 parts MVs. and finally, their most recent comeback, which was also an EP just like debut, that consists of 6 songs "New Jeans" in collaboration with The PowerPuff Girls, "Cool With You", "ETA", "Super Shy", "Get Up" and "ASAP". they are super popular and one of the top girlgroups not only on South Korea but the whole world. I am a Korean. In Korea, New Jeans is undisputedly the top. Other groups also created a sensation when they debuted, but New Jeans was on a completely different level. As far as I remember, there have only been two instances of this level of impact in the Korean music industry. The first is Seo Taiji and Boys, the beginning of K-pop, and the second is the emergence of New Jeans. A seismic change in K-pop. A shock that will determine the direction of the next generation. In Korea, New Jeans is another level.

Kpop is NOT a music genre, KPOP is the industry in which all these korean popular idols coexist. Think of it like HOLLYWOOD, hollywood is not a movie genre, HOLLYWOOD is the industry in which american actors coexist to create movies and tv series. In hollywood you have movies about horror, drama, action, romance, etc (all kind of genres) In kpop just like with hollywood each group have their own sounds, their own music genre, their own concepts and their own story. That's why everytime you react to a new kpop group it sounds entirely different from the one you discovered the other day. KPOP has multiple genres of music from metal, rock, ballads, EDM, dance, disco, retro, funk, HipHop, rap, etc. Concepts and storylines in their music videos and sounds like horror, fantasy, middle eastern, latino, bubble gum, girlcrush, etc.

IVE, New Jeans, Le Sserafim are THE "monster rookie groups" of 4th Gen K-Pop (and the most important new groups in the past 2 years, ignoring Babymonster for a moment, since they just had their debut).All of them have their own identities and styles. As for IVE: Their debut "Eleven" might be their "worst" title track at least in my personal opinion (although still a great song and debut). Their next title track (and 1st comeback) called "Love Dive" on the other hand is a "once in a generation" legendary song. It won them "Best Song Of The Year" as well as "Best female group" at the MMA Awards 2022, which is basically unheard off for a "rookie group". I hope we get to see your reactions to that one soon ;)

There are hundreds of more kpop group but the famous girl group you reacted to is basically almost done. It just cause the famous group is already established so they have many songs. But to be able to react to all popular groups. It should only be 1-2 of their mv then move on. Until u catch up to your list, you head back to their older songs. She is consider tall for koreans but not for american and one of the tallest girl in all of kpop. She is the center and the main visual of the temporary girl group izone and also the center/visual of this group ive. So your right again Mr. Coach. When I start a new group and one person sticks a group can feel like “Wonyoung and friends” for that period. But if you stick with them you’ll start to fill in knowledge of all the members. I really like when somebody I hadn’t really noticed grabs my attention and all of a sudden they come into focus and steal my bias and I wonder how did I never see their charisma before? In the beginning Liz (The dimple) was Ive for me, and after several watchings Yujin (Thumb biter) really popped out. That thumb bite seems to be a pretty common move. I first noticed in Tri.be’s Kiss but have seen it a few times.

The girl in pink is Wonyoung. Not too tall. It's about 173 centimeters. The average height of Korean women is around 165 centimeters, so the average height of men is around 175 centimeters. However, girl group members do not like over 170 centimeters tall. If she wears high-heeled shoes with her stage costume, she becomes 185 centimeters tall. It becomes bigger than male fans. So, she hates it when she hears, “I think you’ve grown taller than last time?” haha. The same team member, Eugene, is also 173 cm tall. (However, there is a story that they are actually taller.
