I love Lea I was fortunate to see her on stage in Miss Saigon. She is the voice of Mulan and Princess Jasmine from Aladdin. She is phenomenal. ❤️

This song "On My Own" is from the musical LES MISERABLES and this performance is from the 10th anniversary dream cast concert in 1995. Lea (her first name is pronounced LAY-ah) Salonga is from the Philippines. She started performing at age 7 and between ages 7-17 she did theater, albums, concerts, film and TV in the Philippines. She was discovered internationally when she was cast as the lead role Kim in the new musical MISS SAIGON in London. Lea was 18 when she opened MISS SAIGON in London, 19 when she won the Olivier award, 20 when she opened the show on Broadway and then won all the major theater awards in the USA including the Tony Award (first Asian actress to win). When Lea was asked to play Eponine in LES MISERABLES on Broadway, in 1993 she was the first Asian/non-Caucasian actress to play the role. Lea is the singing voice for 2 Disney Princesses - Jasmine ("A Whole New World") and Mulan ("Reflection").' Lea was 24 in the concert you watched and is 52 now. I highly recommend finding more of Lea's performances to watch!
