Thanks for coming back to Lovebites. It's not clear the American market will ever wake up to this band (or Japanese metal in general), but that's our loss. There is nothing like them in the world right now.

Pay attention to Haruna's drumwork! You can hear him choke the cymbal and keep stepping on the high speed two bass at the same time. But what's even more amazing is the high-speed, incessant sound of cymbals and bells during the twin guitar solos of "Midori & Miyako"! How can one person play so many notes so accurately at such high speed?

Thank you for your reaction to LOVEBITES. This song had only a music video and CD release, but a live version was released for the first time. This is Asami's live talk before playing other songs. I think this is true of many of their songs. 「我々の楽曲はライブにて完成する！」 「Wareware no gakkyoku wa raibu nite kansei suru!」 Our music is complete when it's live!"

This song was the last that included Miho and the MV of this was a summary of the first 5 years of LOVEBITES. This is the first time it has been played live. Seems even better. 🤘

Asami’s vocals are woefully under recognised. Fami had only played an hour of rock music on a stage when this song began. Listen to how she keeps up with Haruna. I’d love to hear her isolated bass track. The whole band has been reinvigorated…thanks in part to Fami’s cheerful persona. Just one thing I need to get off my chest. When this song was released at the very end of 2021, I was, frankly, shocked at how negative the comments were by fans of the band. In fact I now know that many have either never, or hardly ever played it again since then. This might sound ridiculous (or obvious), but if you’re not sure…play it again a few times before passing judgement. Asami’s deep vocals at the beginning caught me off guard. It’s the closest I’ve ever been to doubting the musicality of a Lovebites song. I couldn’t catch the twists and turns either. So I played it again…and by the third play it all fell into place. The section where Asami sings “broken piece of a soul” gives me shivers each and every time I listen to it…which is basically as often as I listen to virtually every other Lovebites song. There is no album filler, so why would you skip songs? Beats me.
