@@Abigirl_Reacts Ya, Marko often uses distortion and vocal fry, but he never growls or screams. If you hear the latter two in a song, it's all Floor. In "Ghost River" you'll hear two short growls on the word "scream". It's Floor doing that. She did a lot of growling in her previous band ReVamp. Check out "Misery's No Crime" for a full on growl experience.

Every time I hear Floor singing this "haunting" part at once comes the term "siren's song of the internet" to my mind. The song is about internet trolls and haters. Floor is a powerhouse who is able to switch from angel (or siren) to demon within seconds. If you listen to her former band ReVamp (e.g. "Disdain" Graspop 2010) she rather often did it, growling and switching between growls and even operatic. Her vocal versatility is gorgeous.

The drummer in this video video is Kai. The previous drummer Jukka had to step down in 2014/15 for health reasons. He selected Kai as his own replacement. Jukka is still heavily involved with Nightwish in a behind the scenes capacity.

Great song from a fabulous concert. Also check out the opener ‘Shudder before the beautiful’ also ‘7 Days to the wolves’, ‘Poet and the pendulum’ and of course ‘ Greatest show on earth’ All were amazing at this concert. And before anyone says it yes I love ‘ the greatest show on earth’ better from Wembley than from Tampere. There is a reason why it is the Official version!!!! What`s next depends on the mood as all their songs are awesome. For harder songs I recommend `Weak Fantasy`` , ``Tribal`` , Slaying the Dreamer, Shudder before the Beautiful. For softer, if you can call them that, ``Shoemaker``, ``How`s the Heart``, Dead Boys Poem``, ``Song of Myself`` and of course ``The Poet and The Pendulum. I highly recommend the book ``Nightwish every album, every song`` by Simon MCMurdo for an in-depth look at the band.

If you like a bit of growling in your symphonic metal then I’ll say it again you really do have to get around to checking out EPICA. All the symphonic vibes,brilliant female lead singer in Simone Simmons but also some menacing growls for contrast. ‘Consign to oblivion’ from the zenith, Paris France might float your boat.

@@Abigirl_Reacts That track has quite a lot of growling but there are many more with much more of Simone and less of Mark if you find it too extreme. ‘Once upon a Nightmare’ from Omega Alive or ‘Unleashed’ live from retrospect would be good Simone focussed ones. Oh there is also the option of having Simone and Floor at the same time!!! ‘Sancta Terra’ live from retrospect. Hope to see and hear your reaction when you can find a moment in the schedule.

No, that is Floor growling during the chorus. Marko sing the higher lead part during the chorus. There isn't too much Floor cannot do vocally. This is new and current drummer, Kai Hahto. There are so many different styles of Nightwish music.
