This is consistently voted as the #1 best feel-good song of all time. And it really is. My mom died recently and I really took it hard. Like, I was inconsolable for weeks. I sat in the dark trying to figure out what comes next and how much it hurt and... not my proudest moments. Some other very bad thoughts kept rearing themselves and they scared me. I'm a very loyal Queen fan and have had a platonic crush on Freddie for about 15 years now. I turned on some of my favorites and this song was included. When it came on, I almost instantly smiled a little. I went through a bad divorce 12 years ago and the only time I was happy for about 2 years was listening to Queen. I hate to sound so damn cliche, but a man who died of AIDS 30+ years ago saved my life twice in 12 years. That's gotta mean something!

So sorry for your loss . Freddie has saved so many of us , it’s absolutely amazing.💖

@@TammyDenney Thank you so much. It's funny too, because prior to my divorce, I was a very conservative person and thought harming oneself was reserved for people who just wanted attention. It's an unfortunate side effect of being a newer first responder and 911 operator. It's an easy rabbit hole to fall into if I'm being honest, especially in the area I lived and the company I kept. Now I know better.

😂😂😂 you laughing at yourself saying Eddie is exactly what Freddie would do. He was an intellect and serious musician but when on stage and in his private life he loved to have fun and goof off. You can see it in his interviews too. That's one of the many reasons we love Freddie and Queen up to this day. Thank you for this reaction. So many great Queen songs. Please do Spread Your Wings official vid.

Queen is a victim of their own success in many ways. If all you know are some hits. You truly don't know them at all. All band members sing, write songs, & play multiple instruments. They can, & have, played every genre imaginable. Selfishly I would love for you to react to Queen 2 ( the album ) from their heavy prog rock period. but. I will simply suggest representations of differing styles. Their hits were by enlarge their least interesting work. They experimented a lot in the studio early on. For that reason. Some suggestions should be album versions first. The March of the Black Queen, 39, The Millionaire Waltz, Death on Two Legs, Loser in the end, The Fairy Fellers Master Stroke / Nevermore ( continuous short, played as one ) Good Company, The Prophet song, Seaside Rondezvous, Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy, & Who Needs You. All album versions please. Seems like a lot. But they wrote upwards of 250 songs over 20 yrs.

Always insightful comments from you Jay Rah. I was a teenager and in bands when this era of music was in play. Although most young people have very positive reactions to this music, you hear things and make next level comments. I find your comments of the music I love very satisfying and gratifying. Thank you for your channel.
