First Time Watching "Big Hero 6" Was Surprisingly Emotional

I loved this movie, the issue with it not being super popular was timing - it became a sleeper hit, people liked it after it came out. It just came out at the wrong time, some people blame Frozen but that was a whole year before. BH6 is a Marvel property and a lot of marvel content dropped that year and where Disney was pushing money was towards other films they thought would be guaranteed hits.

It was dropped as a Disney film in theaters. It was their Oscar submission that year (they won). Rather than give BH6 the standard Disney film marketing treatment -- merch, media, etc -- they continued to funnel money into Frozen because it was (and still is) their biggest cash cow. No one really knew about the film as a result. From a financial standpoint, it makes perfect sense. It's still tragic such a fantastic film got eclipsed.

It's crazy that this film made over $600 million but for a company like Disney that's a sleeper hit. I'm just glad it came out during the revival era, otherwise it'd be even more underrated.

I think there were only three people in that photo because it was most likely taken during a time when Hiro wasn’t even conceived yet. Hiro is only 14 and Tadashi was most likely in his early or mid 20s. ‘Big Hero 6’ is absolutely one of the best and is underrated.

In the one with three people, it's in black and white and the people are wearing more traditional clothes, so it's probably great grandparents/grandparents.

Tadashi's age is kind of unclear; a couple of sources say different things, including the actor who voices him, the director, and the wikia for the fanbase. However, the youngest I've seen him claimed to be is 18 and the oldest I've seen is 20 or 21, so he can't be more than 6 or 7 years older than Hiro. And yes absolutely; it's one of my favorites of all time.

Those were their grandparents on their dads side and Cass is their mothers sister. Also their parents died when Hiro was 4, so Tadashi was probably like 7 or 8

I loved this movie! When it came out my boyfriend and I saw it in theaters and I was legit crying and saying “I’m not satisfied with my care.” When baymax sacrificed himself and my boyfriend just looked at me like “really?”

Tadashi's heart changes the trajectory of my life. He programmed a healthcare robot with a perfect personality. Whoever designed Baymax's character is a pure genius, and should win the grandest award.

My ONLY complaint with this movie is that Hiro’s suit did nothing lol. You think he would’ve given himself a superpower! This is my all-time favorite Disney movie regardless, I absolutely love it.
