All I can say about Tinkerbells feelings for Peter, from the book, is that fairies are described as only having room in their small bodies for one emotion at a time lol, and most of the time Tink was jealously protective and infatuated with Peter (she nearly got Wendy killed because of it). Peter, being young and careless, didn’t notice or understand. It’s a really good story.

Kemi I want to thank you for watching Hook. This is truly my absolute favorite Peter Pan film hands and hook down. I’ve actually been involved in two productions of Peter Pan. The first one was a version that we had wrote based on the book and I was Smee in that one. The second production I did was the actual Broadway production and I was one of the pirates. Here are some fun facts; The voice of the pilot on the plane is actually Dustin Hoffman, which is ironic since he is Captain Hook. Also the moment that Peter chooses Thud Butt as his successor, the reactions on the Lost Boys are genuine. Spielberg and Robin Williams knew who would get the sword and kept quiet about it. So none of the Lost Boys ever knew who would be the successor. At the 25th anniversary, Dante Bosco as well as the other last boys squeeze backed into their lost boy costumes and honored Robin Williams, since he was not there to share a happy moment with them. RIP Robin Williams. 🧚✨🏴‍☠️🕰🐊⚔️💚💛💙❤️

This film is PACKED with famous people doing cameo appearances. In the scene with the pirate that gets put in the “Boo Box) - Watch the face of the pirate and listen carefully to the voice - it’s none other than actress Glenn Close! She showed up on set to visit the numerous friends in the cast and Steven Spielberg asked if she wanted to be a pirate, and she jumped at the chance to do the cameo. 🙂 Additionally, during the scene where Tink flies Peter back to Neverland, there is a couple kissing on the bridge that start to float up after they the are sprinkled with pixie dust - the couple was George Lucas and Carrie Fisher. Among the pirates are David Cosby and Jimmy Buffet, and Phil Collins played the role of the police detective.

I'm so happy to see this film making a comeback in the hearts of new viewers. It never sat well with me that this wasn't well received when it came out. If you haven't seen it, I would love to recommend The Secret of Nimh: I think you would really vibe with it. The animation is gorgeous, and the protagonist is as unlikely as she is fiercely loving and courageous.

Readers often say that the ticking crocodile represents time - specifically, the movement of time that begins and ends a human life: “the clock will run down, and then he’ll get you.” The crocodile is both vicious and innocent in his pursuit, innocent in obeying a natural impulse and vicious in the narrowness of his goal. His viciousness is the ticking of time in his belly, which seems both to impel him forward, like the gears of a machine, and to set the terms of his eventual satisfaction. The clock is the agent, and the crocodile an obedient vehicle. Hook interprets the crocodile this way too, and so he cowers before him as though the crocodile were fate itself, the sum of death and time. Hook is deathly afraid, but his fear also has something comforting about it, because falling into even the most malevolent arms is a little comforting. Fate ensures that each of us falls into place in some grand model of things, a finally clear map of “good” and “bad” form. So Hook believes. But we as readers know it was not time or fate that set the crocodile in motion - it was Peter, who fed him Hook’s arm. And the crocodile gets his full meal not when the clock runs down, but when Peter gives Hook a final shove. The crocodile’s symbolic function as time, fate, and the inevitable is Hook’s own invention, a trace of Hook's love for a vanished order. In the end, the crocodile’s only symbolic connection to fate is his passive compliance in fulfilling his savage goal of getting Hook. There is nothing sacred about the crocodile’s ticking: Peter can tick just as well and powerfully. What the crocodile, and Hook's belief in the crocodile's status as his fate, is that to impersonate fate is to become fate. Also the actor who played the pirate that went into the Boo Box was actually Glenn Close 😊

YES!! Love this movie! It was originally going to be a musical with Michael Jackson playing the role of Peter Pan, and rock stars like David Bowie and Mick Jagger and Pennywise himself were considered for the role of Captain Hook. Production was going to begin in 1984 for a Christmas 1985 release date, but it was put on hold as Spielberg was too busy working on Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom, The Color Purple, Empire Of The Sun, Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade, and Always. Production finally began in 1990, but not all was sunshine and happiness as Julia Roberts, Tinkerbell, hated working on the movie as she didn't like Spielberg, calling him "a spoiled, selfish man child," while Spielberg called her "a nightmares to work with and wasn't a very nice person " The film was a box office success, making $300 million dollars against a $75-80 million dollar budget.

In the Disney cartoon movie, they had the gator swallon the clock so they will be aware when it comes. Though the sound of the clock ticking makes Hook go insane so they broke all the clocks. But I do love the idea of it reminding the pirates of their aging

The reason the crocodile is called tik tok is because it ate captain hooks hand that was holding his pocket watch at the time. The crocodile got such a taste for hook and kept hunting for him. The clock in the crocodiles belly kept on ticking so Hook always knew when he was near, that's why hes terrified of ticking clocks...and crocodiles.

The inspector was indeed Phil Collins. 😊 His scene was shot in two versions, a short one and a long one. The latter had funny moments, but Hoffman (who's "not even in this scene", to quote Phil's autobiography) was quite dismissive about it. So the shorter version was used. (As Phil said (quote): I was ready for my close-up, but Rain Man rained on my parade.)

You should watch the 2003 Peter Pan. Live action. It’s actually much closer to the original stage play and book The Disney movie that you keep referring to does keep to the overall story of Peter Pan, but there are a lot of liberties that are taken. So, the Disney version is not really the full version. I think you would like the 2003 movie.

Hoffman channeling Terry thomas...J M Barrie the Scottish author of Peter Pan bequeath the rights of any usage of Peter Pan to great ormond street hospital for children for in perpetuity,so anyone using the story has to pay the hospital,what a wonderful gift to give them..there is a Peter Pan statue in Kensington gardens,London near where Barrie would meet the children he based his characters on,btw Barrie invented the name Wendy,before his book the name never existed...you should really read the book it's great

Please, stop referring to the Disney version! This movie draws much more from the book. The book is a masterpiece and has much more depth than the animation can have (though obviously Disney did a good job).
