My very Christian grandma gave me this book as a birthday present and FREAKED OUT a week later when she finally decided to read it herself and noticed it was about greek gods 😂 It was too late, I had read it all already. 15 books later, I'm still here ❤

the books are technically written for elementary readers, so like 7-13 year olds, but the books are actually really well done and when i reread the first prior to the new show coming out i thoroughly enjoyed myself even as a 25 year old reader. you're gonna love percy jackson my mans

Seeing the ep with the commentary of someone who hasn’t read the books was really fun! Yea I agree the first episode had so much stuffed into the short amount pf time it has But I‘m hopeful for the next episodes

excited to see u get into this little percy jackson/greek mythology world. loved the books as a kid and i remember everyone my age was obsessed with the books and even the films. for me i love how accurate the series is to the books compared to the movies which weren’t exactly accurate. hope u enjoy it!

Sooo excited you're doing this one! We've been waiting for years for a good adaptation, the movies are okay if you haven't read the books but they're an atrocious adaptation 😭 I found the movie first and then dove into the books and they're seriously so good, this is kinda like my harry potter

I remember just finishing the books and I had an essay to do on book to movie adaptations, which was perfect timing because the movie just came out. I was SO EXCITED! But man, was I disappointed...at least I had a LOT to say in my essay and I got an A. But seeing these 2 episodes has reignited my love for Percy Jackson and reminded me why I love the books so much! Fantastic first 2 episodes! I'm so excited for the rest!

I've read the books and as a reader, it's pretty accurate to the books. I was really happy with the first two episodes and enjoyed it so much. The series is so much better than the movies. ❤

It seems like the show is following the book closer then the films did so there's that. I'd say try reading the books if you end up really liking the show

Awesome video ‼️💯💙🩵I saw the films first and then books 1 & 2 and because the films turned me off continuing with the books until later 😅😊💙🩵 also this series is very accurate to the books and something that I noticed about the series that the films ignored is that they emphasised how ADHD affects people the films hardly mentioned that beyond the basics. Also this series follows the books and episode 1 is chapters 1-4. 😅

Sure wish I can find a reactor who has read the books (1-5, and even better, 6-10). At least you’re starting with a series that has RR heavily involved. Gotta read those books, son! Or listen to the audibles (or both). Although, I’m jealous that you’re experiencing this for the first time. Enjoy!
