The British ruled India for about 100 yrs, not only ruining it's economy and wealth, but were comitting ruthless crimes considering the Indians primitives. Other films... sooooo many. If you want to stay with the director: Bahubali1+2 (double film) and Eega (something different), Hi Nanna (drama with good twists), Rangasthalam. For action with cool heroes: KGF1+2 and from the same director new: Salaar. All of them Telugu. Very good in Hindi: 12th fail (drama), Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Based on true stories: Dangal and Sardar Udham, both Hindi. As for Series I highly recommend 'the family man'.

Absolutely concur with Bahubali and Eega. The Rajamouli movies exude such a big love for filmmaking by everyone involved. Even if the special effects are sometimes (oftentimes) unintentionally hilarious, you always feel how everyone is giving their all to tell a story they all want to tell.

I think Asur web series is one of the best series i came across . Its got influence from oldest ancient culture Which is vedic Aryans about 1000 year ago there were tales written in ancient hindu texts That Devtas(gods) and asuras(not demons but more like bad angles) But its not all that but its a mordern crime thriller with touch of ancient wisdom . Before going to go in Please see what is Kalyug ( last period of hindu ages ) It says world will end at the End of kali yuga , the Kali will appear on earth to devast humanity . But lord Vishnu ( from hindu Trinity ( the preserver) will come to earth in his last Avatar called Kalki Who will kill the kali And restore everything . And the new age will come . It based on this . But its not situated in ancient times but its a mordern crime thriller . I think react to ASUR S1 Trailer

Your reaction has been all I expected it to be! It is a larger than life movie with big emotions and its been fun seeing it through your eyes. BTW in South Indian hospitality, it used to be quite common to invite a mere acquaintance home, even strangers, as a sign of acceptance into the community. While Jenny should have been the one to initiate an invite to her home, it's not as weird or forward for him to expect it as it would seem in the west

All of colonisation was traumatic, the world over. RRR is as tasteful a representation of the horrors of the colonising forces of Western Europe as is possible.
