Regarding characters surviving all those stab wounds: in real life, believe it or not, it's very possible. Happens more often than you would think. In fact, I'd say it's more accurate than other Scream movies where someone gets stabbed one time in the back and dies. But I think, in part because of movies and other works of fiction, we believe it's an automatic death sentence.

I notice a lot of fans of certain slasher movie franchises are always so pressed when a character gets stabbed a bunch of times and ends up surviving. But there are real life stories of people who have been stabbed or shot several times and still lived hours later. Obviously we never want our favorite characters to die...but obviously from a realistic stand point they definitely can survive some of the stab wounds/shots they receive. I mean everyone assumed Kirby died because she got stabbed twice in a spot where I think it could have been fatal but last shot we saw she was on the ground putting pressure on her wound and the cops showed up to her house maybe 20 minutes later? I've seen reactors genuinely surprised that she was still alive in Scream 6 when it was confirmed in Scream 5 when Richie was watching KZbin videos and there was the video with Kirby's face being interviewed as one of the Woodsboro survivors. Also I've seen people getting annoyed that Chad survived in this movie thinking it couldn't be possible. I'm not a doctor or anything so I'm not sure but just from stories I've read of real life instances I don't think it's out of the ordinary that he did live.

​@@NyantriiAlison Botha. I recommend looking into her story. That woman survived being gutted, and near-decapitation. She had to hold her head on her shoulders/neck so that she wouldn't lose her eyesight, and tie a shirt around her stomach to hold her stomach in. She walked several miles to the highway where she had to lay down in the middle of it to get rescued. She was stabbed over 50+ times in total, in her stomach and her neck.

@@FLQueerLiberal1982 omg I think that was one of the stories someone told me about, she got stabbed a bunch of times and walked down the highway having to hold her guts in from falling out and she survived. So it's funny to me how some people think it's completely outrageous for a character in a movie to survive 5-10 stab wounds.

@@Nyantrii yeah, guts and decapitated... not to mention raped, lost nearly a fatal amount of blood. What's crazy in movies is when someone gets stabbed in the back ONCE, and somehow their dead (Sarah Darling Scream 3, yet Dewey survived the same wound in Scream). And then there are stories of people surviving other crazy things outside of that kind of violence. A stewardess from Ukraine survived a airplane explosion, falling 30,000ft, hit the side of a mountain, hit the ground, broke every bone, and lived.

@@FLQueerLiberal1982 Not to mention Dewey got stabbed in the back almost every single movie and managed to survive. Again excluding Scream 5. But he literally had his guts spilled out in that scene so. But I definitely think it's somewhat comical that certain characters die almost immediately, and others survive multiple movies. I know it also depends on where you are wounded. But that woman you mentioned, just can't even the amount of pain she was feeling or the willpower it must have taken her to be so physically wounded and still survive.

it angers me deeply, personally, that i clocked that the killer son was wearing a goddamn trojan horse costume at the party in the beginning and i didn't call it that he was one of them before it was revealed. fun foreshadowing though.

Now I've had some push back on this, but, I still stand by it: They're trying to make it seem like Sam is going to follow in Billy's footsteps, and become Ghostface herself. I think it's a misdirect. I think it's Tara that becomes Ghostface. Not sure why or what drives her to snap, just that she does. My reasoning: the way she smiled and took her time, when stabbing Ethan, suggests that she REALLY enjoyed it - she savored it; SCREAM 2022 (5CREAM) is an homage to SCREAM (1996) with the primary mastermind being the love interest, and SCREAM VI is an homage to SCREAM 2 with the primary mastermind being a parent of the last mastermind killer. SO, wouldn't it reason for SC7EAM to be an homage to SCR3AM? WELL, in SCR3AM the killer was the half-sibling (Sidney's half-brother, Roman Bridger) of the main final girl of the franchise. Sam IS THAT MAIN FINAL GIRL, not Tara. TARA... IS the HALF-SIBLING of Sam.

Okay, now yes, I've posted my theory on every Scream 6 YT reaction I've seen, this is no different: I am telling you... Sam's therapist, Dr. Stone, was related to Stone - Jennifer's bodyguard from SCR3AM. That's why he got so uncomfortable when she said her father was the famous serial killer Billy Loomis, and that they made a movie about him. The way he looks to the side and says something like "Certainly did."

I don’t know if there will be another movie given the current situation that’s happening while I’m typing this. I would look forward to another one, but just like this one I will be scared with the thought of the characters I really care about dying.

I had the same two locked in as you, but figured them out in reverse. Got Quinn when she mentioned her brother dying, and I figured the only reason to drop that info that early in the movie is if it was relevant, which meant it was likely Richie. After that, it was easy to figure out that her father was involved.

If its Sam vs. Sydney you know Sam isn't dying and it's going to be something like Sid convinces Sam to do "plot" = redeemed. If not that Sam dies while being comforted by Sidney. I still highly doubt Sam will ever become a killer and be a true main character and overcome whatever shes going through.

Because of that b******* they pulled and scream too. With it being a parent I thought in this one they were going to pull another fast one on a with it being the mom so I was thinking the twins. Their mom was a minor character but she's been around for a long time. Maybe she was trying to protect her kids by killing off anyone else who's still involved. My big problem with these reboot movies is that people will get stabbed in major arteries, bleed out for several hours, and then still survive at the end. It’s a horror movie, characters can die. I also hate that they just keep regressing Gale as a character so they can tell the same story, AND I hate that they brought a Kirby back. I get that fans liked her, but she died in the fourth one.

Actually, no, Kirby didn't die. Originally, Kevin Williamson wanted Kirby to die, but Wes Craven changed it to where he left a possibility that Kirby could come back. When Charlie walked away from her, the camera was still on her moving on the ground. When Sidney was heading back to the downstairs where she left Kirby at, you could hear the door open from that room that went to the backyard, and that's why Sid yelled out Kirbys name and that was AFTER Kirby had been stabbed. We know it wasn't Charlie because after Sid called out for Kirby, he grabbed Sidney from behind on the main floor, and Jill in costume was also on the main floor to ambush Sidney as she tried to escape. So the only other person that opened that door down there would be Kirby. They were going to end the 5th one with "there's a live one here," and Deweys asks if it's Sidney, and then end as a cliffhanger. They were also going to put Sidney into a coma after the house scene, and then Scream 5 was going to pick up where she recovered but had no memory of what happened. Jill was going to be in college and finds out that living Sidney's life isn't as glamorous as she thought. There was going to be a killer after her who knew her secret and theories was that it was going to be Kirby that wanted revenge on Jill because of getting away with what she did in Woodsboro to her and her friends. But because they didn't know if there was going to be a 5th, they didn't want to leave that as an ending for Sidney in the 4th where it looked like she died but didn't. So they changed the ending and added the hospital scene where Jill ended up getting caught and died by Sidney but still left an opening for Kirby to come back if she wanted to.
