With the whole argument of if Barry should focus on catching the man in yellow or helping the city, I think the city comes first. Yes Barry has a very personal relationship with Reverse-Flash and this is the first time in a decade and a half that he’s been this close to catching him, but I think one of the biggest tests of a hero is putting the safety of innocents above a heroes own personal wants. Capturing the Reverse-Flash will undoubtedly save some lives, but think of how many will get hurt or die if he ignores the city, all the criminals, the accidents, the Metas, all will get way worse if Barry stops helping just so he can focus on getting revenge.

To be fair, they didn't know what kind of threat the Reverse Flash is at this point in time, with his speed he literally could murder thousands of people in a few minutes and Barry wouldn't be fast enough to stop him with his current speed, so it's understandable that despite it being kind of the wrong decision, they wanna prioritize him for the potential catastrophe that can happen within a short amount of time, literally a worst case scenario on what one evil speedster can do. Although I do get it that he's not being himself if he ignores the city to focus on his own problems.

The reason why Wells has red lightning streaks when he runs is because he has red colored lightning, and Barry has orange colored lightning. So Wells is still the Reverse-Flash.

In the comics the colors of speed have different meanings yellow/orange is your connection to the speed force and it’s also your slowest color red is negative speed force connection faster color also there’s green but only inertia has it and there’s blue which means you’ve been connected to the speed force along time and you’re really fast and white means you have a pure connection to the speed force

Basically the reason he doesn't just like go super fast and stop villains in like a second is because the flash is too powered and if he did that the show wouldn't exist even the comics he can go faster than light and he still gets beat by Captain cold but there is kind of an explanation to why he gets hit so much he basically goes so fast that everything around him is so slow so he literally has to slow down his brain so he can process things at the speed of a normal person or else 1 second feels like centuries so that's why he gets hit because he's slowing down his thinking

31:53 to help you out here reverse flash has a yellow suit but red lightning the flash has a red suit with yellow lightning. So the man in yellows streak will be red and vice versa. In the animated dcau stiff they never use lighting for the streak which annoys me, in the animated joints the streak is just the color of their suit. But in the newer comics and live action its the lightning not the suit. Hope this helps

Dr.wells was the first flash before Barry...the old him the flash wanted to retire so he picked Barry for the future. He couldn't save his mom once reverse flash found out. But he won that fight and took his outfit. He ended up getting a new one that he has now, so ik he will protect Barry even if it cost him his life
