This is one of those movies that gets better and better each time you watch it. BUT, you can never watch it for the the 1st time again :)

Great intro, and applicable. "I got this key out of the mouth of a wooden clown." This is what we say to strangers in elevators. It's just basic etiquette.

@orangewarm19 күн бұрын
how do you define a good reaction?
@turntsnaco8244 күн бұрын
@@orangewarm1 I'd say a good combination and balance of the reactor showing a genuine emotional response to what happens in the film, as well as insightful and/or thought-provoking commentary either directly about things in the film, or whatever it causes them to think about. Attentiveness is also nice; I'm know occasionally reactors will miss important details or dialogue - it happens - but seeing the effort to keep up and absorb things like he did in this video is enough for me to look past the occasional oversight.

@@RyanCarrington This has been a favorite for a long time. It was really enjoyable to watch you notice things and pick up on the odd things and then gradually get more and more vexed and bewildered. Fincher did a supreme job, as did his production design team and casting director. All these diverse and unique roles played by people you find so believable, you don't think of them as actors, and then they all show up together in the commissary lounging around... He didn't linger the shot too long, but we instantly recognize all of them at once. Think how hard that was to achieve. It says something about how very important good character actors are, and how talented they are.

I watched this in the theater with my brother. I'd never seen a Fincher film before. We walked out of the theater afterwards, and neither of us spoke for maybe 5 minutes. Then he just looked at me and gave me a slow, twisted grin. I told him, "Don't you DARE!".

Saw this recently for the first time myself, was such a cool experience, blew my mind as well. I wish I could watch it for the first time all over again. I really hope you're watching 12 Monkeys from your poll, it's a similar sort of psychological roller coaster that will have you second guessing everything.

It would bug me the hell out right now if during the middle of this reaction Ryan turned to the camera and said, "Novaximus, you haven't gotten your mail yet today. There could be something important in it. Or do you think this is some sort of game." and then just get's back to the reaction like nothing ever happened.

The major problem with this kind of thing happening in reality is sure the game organisers can cater for every scenario as seen in this movie & at the same time keep the public out of harms way but what they carnt possibly plan for is what the client is going to do. His or her actions & decisions are basically out of their control & that's where the game itself can become dangerous & unpredictable which is why this would never happen in realife well not at this level maybe at a more chilled & relaxed level but that's it

Thanks for the reaction. A fantastic movie. I remember watching it in cinema back in the day. How tense I was during the last minutes. What an ending. Douglas is great as usual. But I'm not a fan of Penn usually. But he's really good in this one. Btw the intro here inspired the intro to the hit show "Succession" on HBO. At times an almost frame-to-frame copy.

This movie is the one that had me constantly repeating, "That doesn't work like this." but then just setting that aside because it's a movie until the end where it was the lamest twist in film history - I was right all along!
