Hope is the central theme of Star Wars - Dave Filoni, who was the show runner for Clone Wars and Rebels and the co-creator of this show with Jon Favereau, has said that George Lucas told him that the most important thing in telling a story in the Star Wars universe is to make sure that children watching know that there is always something to hope for.

It’s a very subtle and hard to see detail, but the scientist with the glasses, his shoulder patch is that of the Kamino cloners. Extracting the necessary materials line the Mando overheard knowing the guy with the glasses is probably a cloner gives an indication of what the Imperial Remnant might want from the Child.
@jonmercano11384 жыл бұрын
It seems no one mentioned something in the comments of the last two reactions. I am legitimately surprised by that. Dr Pershing (the guy with the glasses) has patches on his arms that have been previously seen on the clothes of young clone troopers on kamino. This has us speculating that they want to clone the child.
@UnarmedPug4 жыл бұрын
Or that the child was cloned
@zomish134 жыл бұрын
@@UnarmedPug its possible, but at 50 years old he was born the same year as Anakin Skywalker. That would have been almost 20 years before the Clone Wars so Kamino would not really have been well known. So it would be more likely they are trying to clone it.
@UnarmedPug4 жыл бұрын
@@zomish13 Disney has long since stopped caring about consistency with regards to Star Wars. But if you want a possible in-cannon theory, remember that Kamino clones were grown at twice their normal rate. This would also work out well for the show because it would give the Mandalorian a chance to raise the child.

Those pieces of armor Mando wears on his wrists are called Mandalorian Vambraces. They are quite unique to Mandalorians and come with a wide-array of other weapons and tools. They were used quite extensively in the fight with the Jedi. If you recall in the movie Revenge of the Sith, Jango Fett had Kamino Sabredarts and other items he used in addition to the flamethrower he tried to roast Mace Windu with lol. That "card" that protected Carl Weathers character was a piece of Beskar steel.
@VadersRage4 жыл бұрын
You made a valid point that never crossed my mind before. I wholeheartedly agree, the music for this show is fantastic....but I never thought to connect it to emotions that Mando was feeling, or at least the emotions we, as the audience, are projecting on to him. Sure, music sets the mood.....but I think in this case (as you pointed out) the score does much more than that. It has to be tough, as an actor, to try and convey emotion behind a mask (and barely any dialogue). They use the music perfectly in this show. Great vid! Looking forward to the next installment.

The episode title is a bit ambiguous, and I think it's meant to be. Obviously, it's a "sin" for him to hand over a baby to someone like the client, especially when he himself was rescued from violence when he was a child. On the other hand, it was a "sin" against the bounty hunter code for him to take the baby back. Not only did he renege on his deal with the client, but part of the bounty hunter's code is that they mentally de-humanise their targets so they only see a payout, not a person. It could also refer to Mando working for the Empire. The Empire are the reason that the Mandalorian remnents are hiding underground, and the beskar they pay Mando with is looted from Mandalore; but by working with them, he's getting it back to their own culture.

I feel like "the sin" has a double meaning at this point and later becomes a singular meaning. In Mandalorian culture, kids are a big deal. Even if they're not related and especially if they're your own. One of the worst insults refers to some scientist who experimented on kids. So Mando is doing something wrong when he gives the imperials the child. When he goes back for the child he is breaking the rules of the bounty hunter guild, but following his culture's mandates.
@byronstukenberg95154 жыл бұрын
I actually never made the connection of Mando 'sinning' against his religion being The Mandalorian Way. That was an awesome perspective and connection!!!

There is at least two things we know about the Yoda specie : 1 - They can live very old (around 800 to 900 years) 2 - Almost every people of this specie (if not all of it) is a Force sensitive. It's a specie who has a really strong connection with the Force. But like we can see in the movies with Yoda, or in the Mandalorian with The Child, is that the cost of their natural connection with the Force (and so the natural use of it), it's draining a lot of their energy, making them needed a lot of rest to regain it. Contrary to other species who are Force sensitive, like the Humans, who can use a lot more of the power of the Force before being exhausted. However, they have a weaker connection with the Force than the Yoda specie (except for some very talented and gifted people like Obi-Wan, Qui'Gonn, Mace Windu, Anakin, Palpatine, etc...)

There is in fact a PS2/GameCube Star Wars: Bounty Hunter game. You play as Jango Fett, and it tells the story of how he was hired for the Clone Army, and why he wanted Boba Fett to be created as a son. It's pretty good.
@oxhine4 жыл бұрын
Good predictions so far, Mary, but I think the show will surprise you here and there. Pedro Pascal is the Mandalorian so, as a "Game of Thrones" fan, you already know what he looks like! One of the things that added to Boba Fett's mystique is we never saw him take his Mandalorian helmet off! Deborah Chow directed this action-packed episode and was one of the discoveries of the series. The flashback incident is called The Great Purge which occurred after The Clone Wars. The Empire bombarded Mandalore. That was a bar of beskar armor that saved Greef's life. He got a cut of beskar as his fee. The other Mandalorians were living covertly in the sewers of that town as refugees. I'm sure they keep tabs on the goings-on aboveground and a big fracas like that shoot-out is bound to get their attention! You mean "conscience" (KON-shents), not "conscious" (KON-shus).
@SleepySloth27054 жыл бұрын
